May Boy - Maja Design
May Boy -Featuring Maja Design.
Happy Friday to you. I am bringing you a layout and a video showing how I used the Vintage Summer Basics and the Vintage Spring Basics collections from Maja Design together. It's quite easy to combine these collections making them so fun to use.
This features a photo image of a little boy at a wedding I attended. I brought my camera and followed this sweetiepie around till I got the pouty look I wanted. It was not hard and I diid not wait too long. hahahaha
Here is a video to show how I assembled my page and my thought process behind my choices. There is also a guest star's cameo appearance in the video at the very end. I should really call it a "cameow" appearance. Not to worry - the video is less than 4 min long. I believe in keeping it short and simple - just to show you quickly the concepts and the execution.
I started with Vintage Summer Basics 1905 BAS-528 for the background. It's a very cool, versatile piece of paper. I wish I had a few more sheets of this. I also used Vintage Spring Basics 3rd of April. Here are the close ups: I inked some lace and some paper flowers, did a little stamping and a lot of edge inking.
I also added some Blue Fern Studio chipboard to this as great accent pieces. They are inked in Tim Holtz Walnut. The walnut ink is dark and rich and a little rustic feeling to match my woodgrain paper.
In the corner is the wonderful new Blue Fern Symphony Corner -Small.
Here I have used the Blue Fern Studio Organic Vine. It's a great piece that can be tucked anywhere fro strong accent.
Thanks so much for looking. Visit Maja Design's blog here, like them on Facebook here and let your retailers know that you want them to carry Maja Design. Send them emails and kindly ask them to make your life easier and prettier.

ReplyDeleteThe layout is amazing, Jen, and it was great watching your creative genius in action (and it was so nice to see that I'm not the only one who suddenly decides something needs inking AFTER it's been attached!!) Thanks for the inspiration!
