Create a Lion Themed Birthday Flip Card With Spellbinders and Maja Design

Hello sweet friends.   I'm sharing a darling birthday flip / twist card with an adorable lion theme.  This has been made with the fabulous dies from Spellbinders and paper collections from Maja Design (Denim & Friends collection).  

This collection is fun, versatile and perfect for masculine themed projects.  These are the papers used from the Maja Design - Denim & Friends collection:

As I mentioned above, the adorable lion is from Spellbinders. It's one of the new Die D-Lites.   How cute is he?  If you scroll to the shopping section, you can see the lion's friends (the walrus, penguin, tiger).

The ink I used with the stamps was Dark Roast - True Color Fusion Ink. Your ink color and quality are the key for success with sentiment stamps.  Quality inks make a difference.

Never Lose a Small Die Again

Lately I've been showing the coolest tool that keeps the small dies on my desk from sneaking away. It's Spellbinders  Main Attraction Tool.  Made specifically for keeping those tiny dies on your craft table and in plain sight.   

I've learned from experience that crafters do not like playing hide-and-seek with supplies.  

 I won't lie.  Die D-Lites Lion, Oh My! Etched Dies has a number of small die bits.  BUT alas they are all safe on Spellbinders Main Attraction Tool.

Creating Interesting Background Using Spellbinders Circle Dies

I decided to keep my background simple with a bit of texture.  The focus is all about the burger.  I used Becca Feeken's Hemstitch Circle dies for the background.  The stitched die doesn't cut a circle image - it simply creates the stitching.  I used the two smallest stitch dies for the background.

Candy Corn and Haunted Houses

Are you ready for Halloween yet? 

 I'm almost ready.  Got a few more decorations to put around the house and a couple more cards to make and send.  Then I'll sit back and adore the spooky festivities.  

According to retailers, Halloween is the second largest holiday in  the U.S. in terms of spending.   Well, who can blame us when companies like Spellbinders have hauntingly darling designs for the season?

I've used only a few of the Spellbinders Halloween dies on these cards but you can see them all right here.

Time to share the cards one at a time.  First one is the haunted house card.  I adore the little bats that come with the Spellbinders - Haunted Manor  also.  

The frame die I used for the background of the house was Spellbinders Nestabilities Oval Ironwork EtchedDies - a great die to use for so many occasions.  

This is my candy corn card.  Man I just LOVE candy corn.  Sad that these little nuggets of delight are around just one a year.  

While I realize there are other marshmallow shaped candies available, like pumpkins,  it's gotta be candy corn shaped.  No other shape will do in my opinion. 

All others need to step aside.   

My paper choice for both cars is Pebbles -Midnight Haunting 6x6 paper pad .
