This month the canvas is an 8x10.  I used a whole lot of ink on this and created my background from old book pages.  The junky old book is from 1895 so it is very very brittle - cool looking but brittle as all heck.   Before it had a chance to crumble to pieces, I placed it onto the canvas and help it secure with a lot of gel medium. 

The incredible richness in the flowers comes from a lot of misting.  Misting and drying.
These are the original flowers.  With some Prima Color Bloom mists, they transformed into rich, golden posies.

The crackle effect was achieved by coating a thick layer of Prima Gold Crackle Texture gel onto the canvas and letting it air dry.  Then after it was dry, I ran my Tim Holtz Distress pad  in Vintage Photo over the canvas.

My lace was also sprayed with Color Blooms and the Flying Unicorn Metal Adornments was polished with Rub-N-Buff  to make the metal etching pop a little.
