Hello sweet friends. I'm sharing a darling birthday flip / twist card with an adorable lion theme. This has been made with the fabulous dies from Spellbinders and paper collections from Maja Design (Denim & Friends collection).
As I mentioned above, the adorable lion is from Spellbinders. It's one of the new Die D-Lites. How cute is he? If you scroll to the shopping section, you can see the lion's friends (the walrus, penguin, tiger). Here is a quick video of what the card looks like flipping open.
The flip /twist card die is from a prior Spellbinders -Large Die of the Month Club so grab this die today. VERY LIMITED in supply.
The Sentiment Stamps Used The sentiment inside the card reads: "Wishing you a day full of joy and a year full of smiles". The sentiment is from the Spellbinders /FSJ Inside & Out stamp set shown below. The set covers a variety of occasions : birthday, graduation, sympathy, thanks and general well wishes.
I also used a stamp/ die set shown below on the cover of the card for "Celebrate Your Day".
The ink I used with the stamps was Dark Roast - True Color Fusion Ink. Your ink color and quality are the key for success with sentiment stamps. Quality inks make a difference.
Spellbinders Twist-Cards from the Large Die of the Month Club
This month, I had the opportunity to create with Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club and this month it comes with a twist....literally. Introducing the twist die.
Spellbinders actually offers several exciting monthly clubs from which to choose including extra embellishments from the kits:
NOTE : the sentiment on the inside of the card, "from the Pug" was simply printed on cardstock before using the circle die from the set.

The paper used on this card is Authentique Nostalgia collection 12x12 paper pack - gorgeous classic Christmas colors and images.
I adorned this card with the flower and leaf dies that come with the set.
The next two photos give you a sense of what the card looks like from different angles when opened. Very hard to achieve with a photo but I tried my best.
What's so cool about this twist die is that you can create many different styles of cards based on the way you decide to open the card.

I'm back to Christmas - because I need to keep making Christmas cards if I have any chance at getting holiday cards out on time. Plus I love thinking about Christmas and the unique possibilities this die set allows.
Now it's time to have fun at the beach! My paper choice is from Bo Bunny - Boardwalk collection. I added some foam to the back of the beachballs and surfboard to give the card a bit of volume and depth.
Nothing says fun like a trip to the beach! Hooray.
