Pet Adoption Card - Spellbinders Small Die and APG of the Month - July

Welcome to Your New Forever Home - Pet Adoption Card - Spellbinders Small Die and APG of he Month - July 

 My husband and I adopted three gray kittens on July 5th thus inspiring my pet adoption card. I crafted the adoption announcement using the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month for July  and Spellbinders Amazing paper Grace (APG) Die of the Month for July. 

My inspiration for the adoption announcement came from the unique Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Membership for July19 - designed by Becca Feeken.  The design reminded me of an old building archway which was perfect for the base of the animal shelter doorway.

I set the card up as a tri-fold accordion card to create the animal shelter. The image above shows the front door of the shelter opening so you can get a look inside.  

Once inside the building, an assortment of dogs and cats anxiously await an opportunity to be adopted.


In our situation, we actually adopted the kittens from our vet.  Mamma cat died during birth.  With no other options, the homeowner dropped the sweet kitties at the vet's office, where the vet and her amazing team fostered, bottle fed and cared for the babies until they could be adopted. 

 The vet wanted to make sure the 3 stayed together and we agreed it was the best for the family.

I was able to create my three gray kittens.  I also love the die words included in the set , "Forever" and "Besties".  It's absolutely perfect for the kitten's forever home.

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for June is one of those dies you won't want to put down. Trust me I've tried.  It's a fun, interactive die set designed to create a slider card for any season.

My paper choice for this card is a combination of some very classic Prima/Julie Nutting paper  ( old stash ) and   Alexandra Renke's Bunnies and Lamb 12x12 . 

If you aren't familiar with Alexandra Renke, her papers have a wonderful softness and flow with watercolor effects.  You can grab individual sheets of 12x12 here.  You can choose the designs you want (there are so many stunning designs to select so good luck narrowing down your choices).

How to fill your shaker card? 
Shakers are so much fun to create and filling them is every bit as fun.  I used fabulous shaker mix from Buttons Galore and More/28 Lilac Lane.   The fillers come in a variety of colors and mixes with sequins, dew drops, shapes, beads, buttons and so much more.
