Create a Lion Themed Birthday Flip Card With Spellbinders and Maja Design

Hello sweet friends.   I'm sharing a darling birthday flip / twist card with an adorable lion theme.  This has been made with the fabulous dies from Spellbinders and paper collections from Maja Design (Denim & Friends collection).  

This collection is fun, versatile and perfect for masculine themed projects.  These are the papers used from the Maja Design - Denim & Friends collection:

As I mentioned above, the adorable lion is from Spellbinders. It's one of the new Die D-Lites.   How cute is he?  If you scroll to the shopping section, you can see the lion's friends (the walrus, penguin, tiger).

The sentiment inside the card reads:
"Wishing you a day full of joy and a year full of smiles". 

 The sentiment is from the Spellbinders /FSJ Inside & Out stamp set shown below.  The set covers a variety of occasions : birthday, graduation, sympathy, thanks and general well wishes.

I also used a stamp/ die set shown below on the cover of the card for "Celebrate Your Day".  

The ink I used with the stamps was Dark Roast - True Color Fusion Ink. Your ink color and quality are the key for success with sentiment stamps.  Quality inks make a difference.

Maja Design - Denim & Friends paper collection

Delicate Heart Card

 Hello.  I'm here today using a combination of papers from Maja Design Coffee in the Arbour and the Vintage Spring Basics collections paired with my beloved Spellbinders dies.  Such a perfect combination. 

The papers used from the Coffee in the Arbour collection are :

 Lemon Meringue Pie
 Flourishing Garden
  Homemade Lemoncurd

This collection is bright and cheery like sitting on the porch on a warm sunny with a tall glass of lemonade.   Since it's Autumn in NY and the weather is turning chilly, these warm sunny days are going to be just a memory, so I'll be looking at the paper and smiling, remembering and enjoying.  

Now to talk about the Spellbinders die for a moment.  

I've grabbed a gorgeous classic die, 

Spellbinders Nestabilities A2 Card Creator - Valiant Honor Die  to use as a frame embellishment on the card. 

As I mentioned, I also used papers from the Vintage Spring Collection.  It's blooming with flowers and butterflies. 

These are the papers I chose:

 6th of May paper 

7th of May

The sweet butterflies are cut from the 6th of May paper in the collection.  They make for the perfect finishing touch.
