Seahorse Themed Cards - Spellbinders Large Die of the Month, Card Kit of the Month

 

Sea Themed Cards  Using Spellbinders Monthly Club Kits

 I love everything about the sea.  I also love to stretch my imagination and create sea themed projects using products that are not exactly sea themed.  Today's seahorse card was made using the stamp set from Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month Membership for May 2021  paired with Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for May.  

The stamp set from May's Card Kit of the Month has a magnificent seahorse and some gorgeous shells which inspired my design today.   

The card today features Maja Design's Denim & Girls collection as the background for my underwater card. The actual papers used from the Denim & Girls collection is "Easy Going" and "Loose Fit" and can be found in the product shopping list below.  

Additional Information

The stamps were stamped on to watercolor paper using the MISTI 12 x 12 - Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented stamping platform and colored using Spellbinders / Fun Stampers Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils. 

These pencils are amazing.  The set has an array of colors that capture most every color I need.  The pigmentation is rich and blends so wonderfully.  I do use a paint brush for blending.  I have yet to find a water brush pen that I like.

Spellbinders Card Club of the Month for September has that "feel good" vibe, with heart warming sentiments, a "must have" stamp set and comforting sweetness.

The bottom layer of the card is the frame from the die set in the kit. I created the frame, then added a piece of red cardstock behind to provide more depth.

Spellbinders Card Club of the Month for September has a great blend of embellishments and elements to cover almost any occasion...including Christmas.  Yep true.  It's never too early to start  Christmas cards.

Instructions and Quick Video to Make Snowmen
So how exactly do I get Christmas snowmen from this kit?  
Easy.  Grab two of the die cut circles from the packaged die cuts.  Flip them over and now we have the makings for a snowman. 


The Die Cut  Sentiment Option
I created two cards;
each has a different sentiment option.  One card was stamped using the fabulous stamp set from the kit and the second card was embellished using die cuts from the die set.  

The die set is great because your options are limitless.  On this card, I combined the stamps with the dies  and gave the snowman a little envelope that says "LOVE" - as if the snowman is sending a letter.
