Balloons, Butterflies, Birds - Cards that Celebrate Flying - Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month

Everything Flies Theme - Spellbinders Card Club of the Month

Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month Membership for Feb 2021 is going to make your heart soar.  In fact that's the name of the kit this month, "Let Your Heart Soar". Everything flies in the kit this month.   It's  filled with hot air balloons, birds, butterflies, airplanes and so much more. Bright colors and uplifting images.  This kit has fabulous elements for everyday, general purpose cards.

Here is an image of the entire kit:

This is an image of the die included in the kit - which also coordinates with the stamp set in the kit, for a stamp/die set combo.

The first card I made is quite simple but I love soothing appeal and the dimensional  rainbow sticker set that came in the kit this month.  Simplicity can be wonderful and calming.

This second card features the chipboard frames and die cut elements from the kit. A quick easy note to say hello to someone.  Make someone feel special and let them know you are thinking of them with just a simple card.

Another super simple card, but with a stamped quote from the set included in the kit.  The chipboard frames from the kit this month are great for "spotlighting" .  The frames are available for individual sale also as "Extras", scroll down for details.

A little bit about the monthly "Extras" Spellbinders offers for sale in their on-line store.

The "Extras" are the packaged die cuts and the paper pad from the kit that can be purchased individually from Spellbinders. Here's a link to this month's Extras from the Spellbinders Store.  Each month the selection of extras changes.

This month you can grab the Let Your Heart Soar Chipboard Frames  Let Your Heart Soar Die Cut Shapes  and the paper pad for Feb.  shown below:

Happy Birthday Balloon Card with DIY Tutorial

Happy Birthday Dies and Stamps
I have an assortment of Spellbinders dies that I used from  the  Elegant 3D Vignettes collection by Becca Feeken .

This birthday card features two different Stamp/die products from the Spellbinders collection:
The background of this card was created using the "Happy" stamp that came with the

I used Watercolor Paper misted with water and stamped with a variety of Distress Inks ( Weathered Wood Peacock FeathersTwisted Citron)  to create a cool watery flowing look.

I have a super quick video (1 minute long - yeah I mean quick!) showing how I created my watery background.

In order to create a little dimension with the balloons, I added a layer of foam to some of the details.   This was done by die cutting thin fun foam I bought at a craft store.

You can see another card made using the same stamping method to create a the watercolor background right here

Thank you for stopping here and thank you to Spellbinders for inviting me to be part of the Spellblogger Team.  Such a wonderful opportunity to share the best dies in the world.

Quick Birthday cards from Justrite

Let's Have A Birthday Party

JustRite has a line of birthday sentiments that should be headed to the top of your list when you need a quick birthday card.
I've created some quick cards for those times when you need to "dial it back" a bit (embellishly speaking) and make a cute, simple card.

Included in this new line of greetings are to stamp sets that I'd like to feature today:
The images above and below are from the JustRite Happy Bird-Day Clear Stamps   set.  The details are totally darling.   You can see the whole stamp set if you scroll down a bit.

The cards are clean, simple and actually "do-able" in a few minutes.  Sometimes you need a quick card, perhaps for a child's birthday.  Heck, no child wants to receive a card with a bunch of fancy flowers on it (my typical style).  And no child wants to be "that kid" who goes to a clasmates birthday party with a flowery over embellished card - once again, my typical style.

Like I said, sometimes ya just need to "dial it back" and make a card.

This is the second clean and simple card I made.  This was created using JustRite Happy Birthday One -Clear Stamps stamped onto JustRite Watercolor Paper Layering Swatches.

It's bold, fun and eye-popping.  And even better - made in a snap.

The JustRite Watercolor Paper Layering Swatches  comes in perfect card size: 4"x 5.25"  and contains 100 sheets of watercolor paper perfect for layering.
Have a wonderful day and keep life simple today.
