Slimline Cards - Spellbinders Slimline Collection

Slimline cards are trendy lately.  These are long cards measuring  3.5" by 8.5", which conveniently fit into a standard business sized envelope. 

I'm seeing more and more products popping up aimed at slimline design.  Today I am featuring Spellbinders Flowering Slimline Etched Dies from the Slimline Collection ,one of the new dies from Spellbinders new collection of Slimline dies.  The sentiment on the card is also part of the collection;  Spellbinders Essential Sentiments Clear Stamp from the Slimline Collection

 

 I enjoy making slimline sized cards because the dimension of the card encourages me to think about card designs fitting into a different shape. It can be a bit more challenging than one might imagine.   

The Spellbinders Essential Sentiments Stamp  from the collection is fabulous because it covers so many occasions with exquisite clarity/quality. 

I am really into playing with Spellbinders Watercolor Pencils lately so I opted to die cut this onto watercolor paper allowing me to add custom colors to the leaves and flowers.  

Additional Information

The sentiment stamp was stamped with Fun Stampers Journey  - Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink Pad.  This black is robust, dries quickly and does not bleed when I use watercolors.

These pencils are amazing.  The set has an array of colors that capture most every color I need.  The pigmentation is rich and blends so wonderfully.  I do use a paint brush for blending.  I have yet to find a water brush pen that I like.
