Silver Ornate Ornament Cards Transformed into Home Decor
Today I'm presenting two cards for the December challenge at Creative Embellishments. The monthly challenge always consists of a mood board provided for your creative interpretation, plus a twist. The twist this month is to add something with sparkle or glitter so I used silver glitter cardstock as the background for my cards.
The main feature on the cards is the gorgeous ornate Creative Embellishments - Snowflake Ornament embellished with Large Snowflakes and Creative Embellishments chipboard Jingle Bells. These have all been embossed with an antique silver embossing powder. Simple yet with an elegant look. It reminds me a bit of mercury glass.

The challenge this month is shown below and is a color challenge using metallics of silver, gold, pewter...
Here is a close up of one of the cards. This has a touch of lace and some buttons to help complete the delicate look. I wanted to keep these frosty and graceful.
Here is the second card and my personal favorite. Once again, I added lace, but also incorporated the chipboard snowflakes. As I mentioned above, the chipboard was embossed using Stampendous Aged Silver Embossing Enamel. The embossing makes the chipboard look like mercury glass because it has a bit of gold and black in the powder.
Papers used on these cards is Studio Light - Frozen Forest 6x6 paper pad
I really love the card I made and thought it wold be great framed for Christmas home decor so I grabbed a frame, removed the glass and glued the card to the frame. It look so graceful and frosty.
