Parisian Rose - FabScraps Romantic Travel Collection

FabScraps Romantic Travel Collection
This is Parisian Rose using the Romantic Travel Collection from FabScraps.

This collection offers so many versatile crafting options.  I chose not to use as a travel piece but worked off the colors from the papers and kept my layout rather simple.

My image is from Magic Moonlight Free Images.  A great place for vintage images.

I also used a lot of Rub N Buff gold leaf paste around the outside and on my chipboard piece as well.

Below, you can see my clustering. My flowers are not any brand name - just some fabric flowers from the craft store that resembled the flowers in the image.  I accented with a lot of gold items from the buttons to the metal jewelry piece. The metal jewelry piece is a clearance piece from a craft store.  I just tucked it in with tons of glue and moved on from there.

Here is the wonderful FabScraps Chipboard -Eiffel Tower DC55004.  I love this piece.  It is small and can get tucked anywhere and not be the focal point of the layout.  I only wanted a hint of Parisian theme, not an overwhelming Parisian piece. It's scaled and sized perfectly!

I left it unpainted and simply inked the edges.  Then I rubbed it with Rub N Buff gold leaf to match the rest of the page.

It sits a top a page I ripped out from a very old book dating to 1895.  The book is otherwise useless at my house because it is a book on Etiquette.  I have two teen boys and a crazy cat (Escape Kitty - my scrappy Kitty)  - where am I going with a book on Etiquette?  LOL

The edges of this book are already yellowed and I added only the light purple from my Donna Salazar Mixd Media Inx in Wisteria.
.

Here are some of the FabScraps products I used:

Travel Time 1 C55007 used as the background paper
Travel Time 2 C55008                     Chipboard -Eiffel Tower DC55004
