Pink Cockatoos and More -Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month
Spellbinders Card Club of the Month of August is called "Hang with Me" and is a tropical paradise in a box - with critter cuteness, flamingos, pink cockatoos, lush florals and even fruity drinks.
The kit comes with paper, cardstock, stickers, die cuts, stamps, glitter pearls and even the adhesives you need. In fact, this is what's included in the August kit:

My card today features a pink cockatoo from the packaged die cut set, as well as the stickers and stamp set from the box. These products are also part of the "EXTRAS" this month for sale separately in the Spellbinders store.
Here is a look at the die set in the kit. It comes with a darling sloth (I know, right?) and all the necessary die embellishments a critter, casually relaxing and hanging around the forest could possibly need. My card uses the die embellishments (flowers and fern greens) as accents for the pink cockatoo.
A Little About the Extras
Each month Spellbinders selects a few products from the featured kit to sell as Extras in their on-line store. This is usually the paper pad, stamp set, stickers, etc. Every month the EXTRAS change a bit.

The cool thing about "Extras" is that you can still play along with Spellbinders beauty each month even if you have not purchased the full card kit.

My background pattern was created by randomly stamping with the big leaf and the flower stamp from this month's stamp set. I used the inks shown below for the soft background colors.
