Happy 2013!
I am overjoyed and bubbly with excitement to be designing for Maja Designs. Each month Maja Design will be doing a mood board for a monthly challenge and your chance to win a 6x6 or 12x12 collection of wonderful Maja Design papers. Here is the information for the challenge.
January's mood board is filled with frosty imagery -from the photo of the ice on the sea to the quote, inspirational words and color palette.
The Maja Design paper collections are beyond gorgeous. When I received my box of supplies, I had to sit down and take time to look at each sheet, feel the paper, soak up all the colors and patterns, and take time for me to really enjoy the beauty I was seeing. If you love paper, only then will you understand how much peace and joy I was appreciating at that particular moment.
Interesting how papers can evoke emotion for some people. I am one of those people (betting there are a bunch of you as well or you would not be at my blog).
I took my inspiration from the color palette of this mood board. Oddly, I reached for the Vintage Summer Basic Collection and paired a few other pieces with it from Ska vi ta en Fika and Crea Diem. That's just like me to try and do my best to warm things up...sorry but I don't like the cold. Makes for pretty art though, for sure.
My giant snowflakes are wooden pieces from Christmas clearance at my local craft store. I painted them and backed them with patterned paper.
Please stop over to the Maja Design blog and see the most amazing art created by the design team for this mood board. You will be complete inspired as I was by the art that the rest of the team did.
Here are the Maja Design Products I used:

Crea Diem -Skapa Dagen
