Bride and Groom Card - Spellbinders by Nichol Spohr

Spellbinders has a die set that looks like it should be on a wedding cake topper with it's classic elegance and beauty. 

It's Spellbinders Wedding Dress & Tux Dies  - Wedding Season by Nichol Spohr. 

This is the sweetest, most elegant wedding die set I have ever seen.  

Use the dies alone or together...create your own gown and customize the tux.  It's all up to you.  

I created the strapless flared mermaid with tulle overlay (or something like that).  

All this fancy talk means is that the die helps make designing a wedding dress so easy.  I just added a finishing layer of tulle.  

The beautiful oval frame is also from Spellbinders and is part of the new collection designed by Becca Feeken,  Elegant Twist Ovals  Dies from the Elegant Twist Collection.

The Elegant Twist Oval frame has a layer of black cardstock underneath to make it pop and have more drama.  

The Authentique paper selection on this card adds to the classic beauty.  I am using Authentique's - Timeless Collection - 12 x 12 Paper Pad.

Wedding Romance in Denim- Grapevine Heart Card

Today I'd like to share a wedding card I made for my beautiful niece and her dashing prince. 

My paper choice is Maja Design - Denim & Friends.  You might say it's an odd choice for a wedding because the collection is Denim.   But this is exactly why Maja Design papers are so amazing.  Each collection is versatile, ranging from feminine to masculine and can be used for a variety of projects.

 I accented the card with some chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments to help set the mood for love and romance.

The Grapevine Heart Frame has been lightly dabbed with paint and the script word has been natural  to match with the papers.

Beach Side Wedding - Maja Design

Here is a photo I took at a recent beach wedding.  shhhhhh, our little secret, but I have no idea who this lovely couple is.  I happened to be at a beach with my camera in hand, at sunset, when this couple strolled into my line of vision.  Oh, you bet I was excited.  I shot up from my beach chair so fast that I do believe I startled my husband.  He got the "no time to chat dear" look from me and I was off with my camera.

I have never been to a beach wedding at sunset, so I'll pretend this is my first.  I had fun. And to the lovely couple......God Bless for many many happy years.

When I got home from my trip, the Maja Sofiero collection was waiting for me.  Just perfect for this beach side wedding.

This is my first piece using the new limited edition collection from Maja Design. This gorgeous, soft and elegant collection is even more stunning  in person.

My paper beach has some masking tape sand ripples, a little dry wall tape  and some masking with molding paste. 

The circle looking paper is dry wall tape with some ink rubbed over it.  Really cool and interesting stuff in a way that only paper people and dry wallers can appreciate.

The shells were from that same beach.

Time to focus on a fun, fabulous collection of products by Spellbinders called "Expressions of Love".  This collection includes a variety of Glimmer Hot Foil plates, dies, sentiments, and a whole bunch of hearts.  Today's showcase features Spellbinders Sunday Sunset Drive from Expressions of Love Collection  (meant to coordinate with the Sunday Drive "Convertible" Die set)  with the background crafted using Scattered Hearts Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Expressions of Love Collection.

Spellbinders released an adorable Convertible die set, called "Sunday Drive"  that has been wildly successful.  Since the original release, there have been other add-ons expanding the versatility of the set with the Sunday Sunset Drive from Expressions of Love Collection being the newest expansion set. 

The expansion set includes a variety of versatile sentiments to be used all year long so my samples included a wedding card and a general purpose greeting.

The heart die at the top of this card was created using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Membership.  

Here is the second card, a general greeting with a breezy summer theme - because I miss the warm weather.  The die set includes a variety of wardrobe and hair style options for the happy couple.  How cool is that!

DIY Elegant Card Ideas Using Lemoncraft

DIY Easy Instructions

Hello. I'm here today to share some projects using a few collections from Lemoncraft.  The first project is a wedding card using the delicate and graceful Lemoncraft collection called 'House of Roses'.   The second project is an 8x8 layout using the 'Christmas Greetings' and 'House of Roses' collections.   

First up is the card.  So let me show you the wedding card I created first.  I really love the Lemoncraft 'House or Roses ' collection. It is perfect for romantic wedding cards.   The beautiful rose on the heart is from the Lemoncraft 'House of Roses Labels 2 - Vintage labels'.

DIY Step By Step Instructions 

I will share my simple DIY instructions so you can see the steps taken to make this card.  

Step 1.  I am creating a card that is sized 5in x 6.5 in.   You can fold your own card base or use a pre-folded card.  I used a pre-folded ivory card base.

To build the base of my card, I selected 2 sheets of patterned paper for layers from Lemoncraft House of Roses  - Time Flies 6x6 paper pad and one sheet of ivory cardstock.  I also punched a decorative border from sheet of the 6x6 Lemoncraft pad. 

I lightly ink all edges for definition and glue the paper layers to the cardstock as desired.  I set the punched border aside for  use in step 2.  

Step 2.  I created an ornate strip for the card.  The four layers as follows from top to bottom ( with paper edges gently inked):

 Top layer 1 -  I selected a piece from the 6x6 paper pad with delicate florals.  I cut a strip about two inches wide - or wide enough to include the beautiful floral images.

Layer 3 - 1/4 inch paper strip

Bottom Layer 4 - lace

Step 3.  Attach all decorative layers onto card. 

Step 4. Assemble the embellishments.  Cut out a vintage image from the Lemoncraft Vintage Labels sheet.  Cut or punch a heart shape about 3 inches wide.  Select the flowers.

Ink the edges of everything for consistency - even the flowers.  

Step 5.  Add the embellishments to the card.  I added a piece of cardboard to the back of the heart for added dimension.  

Step 6. Print a card sentiment from computer.   Ink the edges and glue to card.  

And here is another photo of the completed card.  

My second project is an 8x8 layout for my friend's young son.  I wanted to make the page have a little bit of a masculine feel without it being too manly.  I used the greens and neutral colors from the 'Christmas Greetings' Basic paper pad for the border.  

The background is paper from 'House of Roses' Basic paper pad.   I also used some green ribbon from the 'Christmas Greetings' ribbon and lace set.  The family is Irish so the green ribbon was perfect.
