Christmas Cards Celebration in July - Spellbinders

Let's celebrate Christmas in July!  I love getting Christmas crafty in the summer because I miss the festivities of the season.  I just don't miss the snow.

Spellbinders is celebrating with some fabulous winter dies to Celebrate the Season.  It's time to Celebrate the Season (with Spellbinders newest collection) The cards featured today use the dies shown below:

Spellbinders Winter Welcome Sled from the Celebrate the Season Collection

Secrets to perfect Stamping

The secret to perfect stamping starts with a stamping platform.  My favorite is
My Sweet Petunia Mini Misti - Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented.  Why do you need a stamping platform?  Because you can keep stamping an image until it's absolutely perfect.  I often need to stamp an image a few times to get complete coverage.  The MISTI helps provide perfection.

I used Archival ink because it doesn't bleed when I use water color pencils to color the images.

Finishing Touches on the Card

Finishing touches help complete the card and give it that custom look.  It's all about the details - they do make a difference. I have tiny gem toppers on my flowers from Buttons Galore and More - Merry Mimosa DooDads.

This is a beautiful, vibrant combination of iridescent confetti and iridescent flat backed crystals.
Here are some other cards I made using Spellbinders Celebrate the Season collection.

DIY Gnome Cards for the Seasons - Spellbinders Holiday Gnome Collection

Holiday Gnomes - Spellbinders New Stamp Set

Gnomes aren't just cute at Christmas, they are adorable all year long.
Spellbinders has a charming  Holiday Gnomes Clear Stamp Set  that is sure to bring a smile to your face through the seasons.

Now you can make gnomes when you want, and customize them using your favorite color combos.  My samples today provide you an idea of how different the gnomes look as you change up the colors.
I created a sample of cards to show you how your color choices can dramatically change the feel of the card.  I am also going to show you an alternative way to use the set through the year.  Super easy.

A little about how I colored these sweet gnomes.
They have been perfectly stamped using  the Mini MISTI platform - My Sweet Petunia Mini Misti - Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented

These colored pencils are vibrant and well pigmented. They do not need a lot of pencil pressure for vibrant colors.  If you are looking for a set of pencils, this may be a great addition to your stash.

The first card is a shaker snow globe because these gnomes are anything but traditional.
The card has been embellished using the poinsettia and pine bough dies from an older club kit die Spellbinders Pop Up 3D Vignette Poinsettia Sleigh - Nov2020 APG Die of the Month Club (available while supplies last).

A little about the shaker
The circle chipboard shaker is from Creative Embellishments and is simply painted using white acrylic paint.  The shaker has been filled with brand new  Pearly Snowflakes Sprinkletz Shaker Mix from Buttons Galore.

I added some little finishing touches to the card by gluing snowflakes from Buttons Galore's new Avalanche Sparkletz.  It's a cool combination of flat snowflake sequins, pearls, faceted flat crystals and sparkly iridescent shavings.
The silver poinsettias are topped with soft pink buttons from  Buttons Galore /28 Lilac Lane Shaker Cubes - Rose Garden Buttons and Sequin Mix.

Here is the second card made to celebrate the Gnomes of Summer.  You can easily use these stamps for any occasion.

The brightly colored framing was done using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and some blending brushes.  I also used the sequins  once again from Buttons Galore /28 Lilac Lane Shaker Cubes - Rose Garden Buttons and Sequin Mix as accents.

Card three brought out the soft Victorian gnomes with the rose, pinks and browns. Maybe a little country?  Who knows, just that it's easy to switch up for a dramatic change.

The paper using on this card is  a combination from two holiday collections by Maja Design in Sweden.  The rose/pink snowflake paper is  Maja Design's Winter is Coming Collection.  The background frame paper is from Maja's traditional Christmas collection.

Finally the gnomes with traditional red/green Christmas colors.  They are bright, bold and cheery for sure.
