Did you know Spellbinders has a monthly Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Club for quick card and project creativity? It's a great way to kickstart some card inspiration.
This month's set includes a typewriter with unique sentiments. I chose to make them a little more masculine and I need to get these out in the mail super quick! That's exactly the point of these cool sets.
Here's the image of the clear stamp and die set for the month of February:
Tips for Perfect Embossing:
I love the effect embossing has on this card. The gold is so bold against the black cardstock. The sentiment has a nice dark richness that stamping alone fails to achieve.
The secret to perfect embossing starts with rubbing cardstock with an Anti-Static Pouch. Rub the paper with the anti-static pad before you stamp. This will eliminate any chance for embossing powder sticking where it's not wanted.
The secret to perfect stamping starts with a stamping platform. My favorite is
My Sweet Petunia Mini Misti - Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented. Why do you need a stamping platform? Because you can keep stamping an image until it's absolutely perfect. I often need to stamp an image a few times to get complete coverage. The MISTI helps provide perfection.
I used Spellbinders inks and embossing powders to make the gold images pop - and to make the stamped sentiment more glossy and bold.
The sentiment was stamped with Ranger Archival Ink Pad Jet Black, then immediately covered with Clear Embossing Powder and heat embossed. This tends to enhance the ink and make it pop on the cardstock.
The typewrite and leaves were stamped with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink Pad and embossed with Spellbinders Gold Embossing Powder. The gold embossing power is ultra fine and melts to a smooth finish when heated with the heat gun.
A little about the paper used on the cards showcased today:
This collection has rich colors with veins of patina generously running through the collection. Opening the paper pack is like a cool rusty geological expedition.
Remember, Spellbinders monthly club dies are uniquely designed for Spellbinders and only found in their store. You can find past club kits still available for purchase here while supplies last.

Fantastic designs! I love the industrial meets vintage meets ever-so-subtly steampunk energy these typewriter themed beauties give off.
