Flying Unicorns Feb Kit of the Month - Mermaid Canvas

This month's kit includes some acrylic paints.  Now I am not a painter but I can pop some paint on a canvas and squish it around with my fingers and brushes.  That's actually all I did for the background.  I just did this till I was satisfied. 

I used a piece of bubble wrap on the bottom for the sea floor. 

I added  a multitude of metal Adornments from the kit that were simply painted and glued to the canvas.  Then embellished with Prima SIIC - Say It In Crystals , glitter, shells, and flowers. 

You can see some dimension on the mermaid.  This is Prima Julie Nutting's wonderful SeaSallie Doll Stamp.  I stamped her on a Prima Watercolor paper pad and colored her with Prima's new watercolor pencils.   For the added dimension, I wrapped her body in some teal mesh fabric and tapped it in the back.  This is like adding dimension foam tape to something because it doesn't lie flat on the canvas, which is a cool feature for a mermaid.
