Prima PPP Challenge for November

I love the new chalkboard paints.  They can help transform an old, tired piece into a fresh,  conversational treasure.  I re-purposed a wall hanging by painting the pumpkin with chalkboard paints, topping with Art Extravagance Texture Paste in  Clear Crackle , and adding canvas.   Fun products with fun results. 

Here is the actual PPP  palette that I used .  Such warm pumkin pie and hot cocoa colors. 

This was an autumn wall decoration I bought at 70% off.  It was on clearance because it was, shall we say, hideous.    THERE!  I said it.  It belonged in the 90% off bin actualy because it's ugliness know no limits...BUT under all the yuck is a "wow" waiting to emerge.  

I helped it emerge with some Prima chalk paints.   No- I am not planning on writing my grocery list on it though I could.  

The chalk paints have such a wonderful matte finish and I love matte finishes,    My pumpkin has  a base of Prima Chalkboard Paint - Golden Brown, then Golden and a touch of olive on it all painted whie it was wet so that it blended better. 

After those dried ( and they dry super quick actually) - I added a layer of Prima Crackle medium Texture paste.  You cannot really see the crackles in my phtos - they are very subtle. 

While the crackle medium dried, I added the glass beads and the glass glitter from Prima. 

My last final finishing touch was some inking on the edges  and some stamping in brown to create shadowing.  

Oh yeah, almost forgot.  The center part of the pumpkin is a  Prima Finnabair Elemental Resist canvas.  My pumpkin needed more texture in my opinion and something to break up all the gold/yellow/orange tones.
