Let's Celebrate Spring - Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month

Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month Membership for March 2021 is a celebration of Spring - which includes a little St. Patrick's Day and some adorable bunny and friends cuteness. In fact that's the name of the kit this month, "Celebrate Spring". 

The die set included in the kit is a darling bunny and a beautiful clover border for that touch of St. Patrick's.

The cards created today use primarily the products that can be purchased individually in the Spellbinders store as EXTRAS.  


A little bit about the monthly "Extras" Spellbinders offers for sale in their on-line store. 

  The "Extras" are the packaged die cuts and the paper pad from the kit that can be purchased individually from Spellbinders. Here's a link to this month's Extras from the Spellbinders Store.  Each month the selection of extras changes.  

This month you can grab the die cuts,  gemstones and the paper pad for March shown below:


I love plaids - any plaid - all plaids BUT especially pastel plaids for Spring.  Here's a simple card that can be assembled quickly.  Simplicity can be wonderful and calming.

St Patrick's Day Shaker Cards Part 2

Hello Friends.  You can see PART 1 here.  

 Today is Part 2 of my celebration of all things luck and Irish - meaning shaker cards with a St. Patrick's Day theme.    You can see Part 1 here. Shaking even more than yesterday! 

  Let's shake some luck into the month of March with St. Patrick's Day shaker cards. I don't think I know anyone who would pass on a little luck.  Today I'll be showcasing chipboard shakers from Creative Embellishments and shaker mix from Buttons Galore. 

Creative Embellishments has a giant assortment of chipboard shaker sets covering a wide range of holidays, occasions, whimsy and classic shapes.  You can find all of Creative Embellishments shakers right here.

Today's featured chipboard shaker sets are less traditional but great examples of how to integrate non-traditional designs into the holiday spirit.  This is the Creative Embellishments Snow Globe shaker set and Creative Embellishments Jar shaker set.







The treatments on the chipboard are quite simple.  Both shaker sets have been painted with cream acrylic paint - and gold embossing added to the top layer of the snow globe.  The Jar was left natural with no treatment.Creative Embellishments Jar shaker set

 The Shamrock Border was cut apart and added to the inside of the jar shaker.






Every shaker needs fabulous shaker mix. It's St. Patrick's Day so I am going for some mix that has a bit 'ol Irish magic or at least luck.  The cards today use  Buttons Galore - Sprinkletz - Erin Go Bragh , a combination of unique festive polymer clay pieces.  

Both cards are finished with Buttons Galore's  Glitter Shamrock Buttons. These buttons have shanks. Depending on the project, I'll cut the shank off if I need the embellishment to be flat against the card/project.   Most of the time, however, I leave the shank attached and thread wire through it.  I'll use the wire as a "stem" and glue the stem to the card.  

My paper choice today is Photo Play Paper - Tulla and Norbert's Lucky Charm Collection - 12 x 12 Collection Pack.  It's as cute as can be with the sweetest touch of all things lucky including Tulla and Norbert.

 Let's shake some luck into the month of March with St. Patrick's Day shaker cards. I don't think I know anyone who would pass on a little luck.  Today I'll be showcasing chipboard shakers from Creative Embellishments and shaker mix from Buttons Galore.

My festive shakers feature the following St. Patrick's Day favs: Cauldron shaker set and the Shamrock shaker set.

 




Let's talk shaker mix and embellishes. 
Every shaker needs fabulous shaker mix. It's St. Patrick's Day so I am going for some mix that has a bit 'ol Irish magic or at least luck.  The shamrock shaker uses Buttons Galore Seasonal Pine Doo Dadz, which are a combination of sparkly gems and shimmery pieces.  

The Pot'O Gold Cauldron shaker uses Buttons Galore's Metallic Mix   of  gold shiny sequins and seed beads.

Both cards are finished with Buttons Galore's  Glitter Shamrock Buttons. These buttons have shanks.
