All in a Dogs Day - Cards to Celebrate Dogs

 


Celebrate Dogs in the Family 

I've been celebrating cats this month, so I think it's time to turn the tables and give the dogs a chance to shine.  Let's celebrate dogs, shall we?  
 Pets are so important in our lives.  They are family members and our best friends so I think it's important to reach out and celebrate when someone I know adds a pet to the family or has to say farewell.   

Today's cards uses two collections, Miles Apart and a sheet from Holiday in the Alps.  I also used the monochrome solid color sheet from the fabulous coordinating Monochrome collection, Shades of Miles.

I created cards for boy and girl dogs.  No I'm not sure if people care, but I certainly try to be considerate of the owners sensitivity.  If I know the dog is a boy, I'm going to try to be mindful.    That's just me.  

The dies used in the cards today are an old classic die from Spellbinders (Pawing Around - Dog).  Isn't that a sweet die?  
The stamped sentiment is from Stampendous called Puppy frame.

Sweet Kitty Cat Cards

 

Cats, Cats and More Cats - Cute Kitty Cards

Howdy!  Today I'd love to share my love of kitty cats with you through paper crafting.  Our pets are such an important part of our lives.  They should be joyfully celebrated for the role they play in bringing happiness to the home.  I can find no better way to remove stress from my day than to create cards with a pet theme.  

 I just happen to have a happy reason for making cat cards.  I have some friends who adopted cats recently so I made cards to welcome the new family member to the home. 

Creative Embellishments has some great pet themed products and  other chipboard that is purrrrfect  for pet projects. Today I am featuring some chipboard pieces that aren't specifically pet themed but work so nicely.

This first kitty card features the following chipboard pieces painted with acrylic paints and Stickles Glitter Glue, then finished with DooDadz cyrstals from Buttons Galore and More : Creative Embellishments - Love Arrow Set,  Creative Embellishments - Doodle Frames.

 

I mentioned the other embellishing accents used on the card but let me show you.  The cute glitter "Smile" sentiment is a new line of products from Buttons Galore called Sparkling Sentiments, Spirit set.  These are small wooden pieces coated with glitter, perfectly sized for cards and craft projects. 

The pretty pink and blue crystal gems are from Buttons Galore Doo Dadz- Princess collection.  These are easy to use on cards and craft projects because they have flat backs for gluing. 



The kitties are images from Stamperia's ORCHIDS AND CATS 12x12 Paper pad.  The background papers were from Little Birdie's CELEBRATE LIFE 6x6 Paper Pad.

Now I'd like to present the second card.  The image of the sleeping kitty from the Stamperia paper makes me want to hug a kitty.  Thank heaven I have three crazy cats that I can seek out and hug.  

The xoxo heart chipboard piece for the second card is Creative Embellishments - Love Sentiments Hearts .  It was painted with cream acrylic paint then finished with Stardust Stickles Glitter Glue for a bit of shimmer. 

Next the card has finishing accents with Polar Wind Doo Dadz from Buttons Galore.  The sweet 3D button Hearts are also from Buttons Galore.  They are great quick toppers.

Birthday Card Variety - Authentique

 



Hello friends.  Today I'm sharing a variety of birthday cards created using one of Authentique's festive collections called "Hooray".  Great name, right?  Yep it's the perfect description for birthday celebrations all year long.   

Let me tell you how versatile this collection to celebrate birthdays for boys, girls, men, women, work friends, church friends...well all friends and family.   Better yet, let me show you through my cards featured today.

I used Authentique's 12x12  'Hooray" collection for the cards today becuase I love the fun images as seen below in the papers  ( sheets Number Four and Number Three) and the sticker set from the collection.

The cards have been embellished with a variety of dies from Spellbinders as well as the stickers from the Hooray Sticker sheet.  The stickers are a fast and easy way to create cards and embellish projects that coordinate effortlessly.  

Here are the Spellbinders dies used.  Unfortunately the Cup Cake die is an older die currently out of stock.

I added Ranger Ink - Stickles Glitter Glue - Stardust to highlight and bring added dimension to the details on the card.  I love the Stickles details on the cupcake.  Very dramatic and beautiful in person. 

You can see the collection has a variety of sheets to cover all those birthday's coming up this year.  What a great value that is for the household budget.
