Wedding Day Romantic Cards

 

Today I am celebrating Wedding day romance and beauty with Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for October and Maja Design's gorgeous Miles Apart collection and coordinating  monochrome collection, Shades of Miles.  

I'm in love with the warmth and charm of this collection - perfect for so many occasions.  Here are the papers I used to make the card:

The door die is Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for October and is an exclusive die you will not find anywhere else. It makes a romantic back drop for the Chipboard  Bride  and Groom from Creative Embellishments.   The door die is also great for so many other seasons and occasions, only limited by your imagination.

The focal piece on the card is the Chipboard  Bride  and Groom from Creative Embellishments.  It's been painted with acrylic paint and mounted on the door.  The groom has a piece of foam behind his left side for balance and support on the card.   

The door and bride have been accented with the sweetest pink Doo Dadz gems from Buttons Galore - great for shaker mix and perfect for small project accents and finishing touches.

Shaking up Smiles with Halloween Shaker Cards - Authentique, Creative Embellishments and Buttons Galore

Halloween is almost here.  Are you ready?  I'm ready.  Ok truth be told, I was ready but I ate the bag of candy I bought, HOWEVER I am all set with my Halloween cards AND they have been mailed.

Today my designed feature products from Authentique Paper, Creative Embellishments Chipboard and shaker mix and 3D Button finishing accents from Buttons Galore.  

Let's talk shaker cards and the amazing original shaker designs available at Creative Embellishments for holiday projects and general purpose crafting.  The Halloween shakers have my heart I think.  The cards today feature  the Creative Embellishments - Spider Web Shaker  and the Creative Embellishments Chipboard - Witch Hat Shaker

The cards feature Authentique's spooky fabulous collection, Masquerade, with the hauntingly classic Halloween colors and darling ephemera.

The Authentique's Masquerade - Number Seven (ephemera sheet) was the inspiration for the witch hat shaker card.  It's so dog gone darling it brings me back to being a little girl and scooting around with a broom pretending to ride it to the moon. 

I also happen to adore the Witch Hat chipboard Shaker  design from Creative Embellishments so it was a great combo.  I painted the chipboard with painted black and filled with Buttons Galore  Shaker Mix- Haunted House Sequin Tin.  

 3D bat buttons add the finishing touches here.  There are two different 3D Bat buttons used - Buttons Galore 3D Bat Buttons and Buttons Galore 3D Buttons- Bats .

The second card for the day is the sweet trick or treat spider web shaker card.    The Spider Web shaker was painted with a creamy white acrylic paint and filled with Buttons Galore Sparkletz Shaker Mix -called "Boo".  

The card was topped with a creepy 3D bat and 3D Spider Buttons from Buttons Galore.

 

Here's  the Sparkletz shaker mix that was used as well as the 3D bat buttons and spider buttons from Buttons Galore.  They make fabulous project toppers.

Cultivating General Purpose Cards - Authentique and Spellbinders

This year has been nutty, whacky, isolating, frightening and filled with uncertainties.  We can't get together with friends and family so now's the time to be uplifting others through our talents.  

I love to look for products that can be used for more than one purpose.  Themes are fabulous and fun, but it's important to stretch the crafting budget with products that have dual functionality.  Authentique has two collections that are perfect for cooking up some quick projects and cards with themes and for general purpose.    

I'm sharing the cards I made using Authentique's Cultivate Collection 6x6 Paper Pad , the wonderful vintage farm themed collection and Authentique's Delicious Collection 6 x 6 Paper Pad.  With a name like delicious, you guessed it - a cooking themed collection with a vintage appeal.  

    

This first card in the image above, was created using Authentique's Delicious Collection 6 x 6 Paper Pad and some fabulous Spellbinders / Fun Stamper Journey products.   This is a fun cooking themed collection that isn't limited to kitchen and cooking related projects. My cards are great examples of how Authentique's themed collections can cross over to be used for a variety of purposes.   

 The small yellow checked papers with the green "honey comb" patterned papers were great for creating general purpose cards featuring Spellbinders/ Funs Stampers Journey - Block Prints Stamp Set from the FSJ Buzzworthy Collection.  These block stamps are great for embossing beautiful bold images.  

The delicate die cut medallion is from Spellbinders Elegant Twist Circles from the Elegant Twist Collection by Becca Feeken - a wonderful die to have in your collection because it will be used all year long.  

Here are a few more cars crafted using  the block stamps from Spellbinders/ Funs Stampers Journey - Buzzworthy Collection.  

The paper used are  from Authentique's Cultivate Collection 6x6 Paper Pad.  This is also a themed paper collection featuring life on the farm.  I added some elements to the cards that are a bit more nature based - like the raffia and the burlap looking paper. 

I added stitched doodling as a finishing touch.  I cannot sew - but I love the appearance of stitching so I pull out my handy brown fine tipped sharpie and make my own "stitching".   

This last set of cards also used the Authentique's Delicious Collection 6 x 6 Paper Pad paired with Spellbinders Sweet Cardlets collection by Becca Feeken with Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System .  

 I focused on the "honey comb" paper and decided to make honey bee cards.  In my house, nothing in sweeter  and more delicious than honey.  And how perfect to showcase Spellbinders Sweet Cardlets collection by Becca Feeken.
