Music Pop-Up Card -Using Artist Trading Coins

Happy 2019 - wishing you all the best in the brand new year.  I'd like to thank Creative Embellishments for having confidence in my for yet another year of creative fun.

I have no crafty resolutions in 2019 - just to create what I love because it's a way to relax, calm my soul and fight off stress.

Affordable, quality products are essential in the quest for creative joy and peace.  Am I right?  That's why I celebrate Creative Embellishments.  Affordable, American made, amazing quality, original designs, and frequent sales - make the product a super value.

I'd like to present my new passion from Creative Embellishments - Artist Trading Coins (a cool new take on the Artist Trading Cards).  They can be used for so many projects and in my opinion are not as limiting as the traditional ATC.

I've been using the trading coins as shaker cards, ornaments, card embellishments and now as a feature on a  pop-up card.

The image above shows the chipboard pieces used in the natural unfinished state:

Here is a quick video showing the pop-up card in motion.  Special thanks to my husband for the hand modeling.

This is the cover of my card.  It's simple and neutral so I can use for the many music enthusiasts in my life.   Note how fabulous chipboard looks without treatments.

I used Stamperia's Music paper collection for this card.

The inside pop-up feature was super easy to make by backing each Music Artist Trading Coin with different patterned paper for extra drama.

Thanks for stopping here.  Happy 2019

January Challenge - Frosty Winter Cards

Let me start by sending everyone warm wishes for health in 2019.

The start of each month means there is a new challenge at Creative Embellishments.  These cards are  with my interpretation of the Creative Embellishments January Challenge with it's frosty beauty.    The twist this month is to add snow to the projects and I have done that with pearls, and floral finishes.

If you want to participate, you just need to be inspired by any element in the challenge image below and then create something using Creative Embellishments chipboard.

These are the chipboard pieces I used in my featured cards:

The pink card features the cool new trendy Winter Artist Trading Coins.  I'm obsessed with Creative Embellishments newest collection of ATC's- Artist Trading Coins (a cool new take on the Artist Trading Cards) because they can be used for so many projects and in my opinion are not as limiting as the traditional ATC.

I've been using the trading coins as shaker cards, ornaments, card embellishments and even as a pop-up card...(tune in tomorrow's post for the pop-up card.

Chipboard doesn't need fancy treatments to be beautiful.  Mine are quite simple - painted white and layered.

The brown card features Large Snowflake Set and Checker Border dotted with pearls for a snowy touch.

These cards were created using StudioLight- Winter Days 6x6 paper collection.

EASY DIY Customized Christmas Ornaments for the Season

Looking for ideas for teachers, co-workers, holiday exchange projects?
You've landed at the right place.  Create your own customized, Christmas ornaments using Creative Embellishments newly released Artist Trading Coins

These chipboard pieces are trendy, fun, perfect for mixed media, card making, a variety of projects including Christmas Ornaments.

Yes ornaments!  Sooooo easy - created using the following coins:

Do you have a tradition of giving someone a new ornament each year?  I know many folks have a tradition of giving a new ornament each year to their children, grandchildren, teachers, etc.

This is a quick and inexpensive idea, and one made with love and crafty talent.
Each of my ornaments are double sided so the beauty can be viewed from all angles.

My first ornament features the Winter Artist Trading Coins and the frosty beauty of winter.  Each ornament uses the solid chipboard Artist Trading Coin as the base of the ornament.
I added some decorative silver cord trim on the edges for accent and a finishing touch.

This is the second ornament made for my husband.  He is a musician and adores anything with a musical theme.
This features the newly released Music Artist Trading Coins.
