Basket Full of Geraniums for Christmas - Spellbinders (with video)

Spellbinders rocks flower dies like no one else thanks to the amazing design creations of Susan Tierney-Cockburn and her Garden Club collection.

Today I am featuring a basket of geraniums for Christmas.  Yes - I realize geraniums are not traditionally Christmas florals BUT who cares.  I love it!

Video Instructions
Here is a quick video from Spellbinders showing assembly.

In Susan's video, she references the tools she uses to help create the flowers.  Here are the tools she uses: Spellbinders - Susan's Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. While the tool set is not a necessity for making flowers, it's fun to follow along with Susan in the videos.
Pop this on your Christmas wish list and have your family buy it for you.

Extra Finishing Touches
My card has some finishing touches that give it the completed frosty winter look.  After the flowers were assembled, I added some little red centers to each with the "confetti" pieces from Buttons Galore and More - Doo Dadz Mimosa (shown in red below).

Doo Dadz  are beautiful shimmery collections of gems, confetti and iridescent sprinkles.  The gems are flat sided with facets for the cool crystal effect.  And the flat side is perfect for adding to projects, cards, inside shakers.

I also used Buttons Galore and More's Polar Wind  Doo Dadz  to decorate the snow and the top of the card for a touch more sparkle.

Now for the "snow".  I dabbled the Stamperia ARCTIC SNOW Glitter Paste on the petals , leaves, basket and card for the frosty effect.  This is just fun stuff.

Graveyard DIY Home Decor with Instructions - Whimsy Stamps

Today I am thrilled to be a special guest blogger for Whimsy Stamps for their 31 Nights of Halloween Celebration on their blog.  You can find all the spooktacular fun on their blog, right here.

What can be more spooky this time of year than a grave yard?!  I gathered some goodies from Whimsy Stamps and set to work on a 3D home decor graveyard.

  Scroll, down for DIY instructions.

Whimsy Stamps is more than stamps.  They have an amazing selection of unique dies which were used to help make this decor piece today.

The gravestones, cats, fencing and accessories were created using The Build-a-Graveyard die set designed by Deb Davis from Amped2Stamp.

Winter Pinecone Cards - Spellbinders Susan Tierney-Cockburn ( Video)

Seasonal Pine Cone Cards - Spellbinders

I'm getting a start on the winter season and trying to focus on cards that have a stronger feel to them - something I can send my sons who live in Colorado.  While they appreciate getting cards from mom, it's nice to not have a ton of flowers and lace on them.

Spellbinders new floral collection by Susan Tierney-Cockburn has a fabulous pinecone die that makes a beautiful card that easily stands alone as the strong focal feature.  Wait....I just said no florals please.  So just stay with me here.  I started this post saying I didn't want flowers and yet I'm talking about a floral collection.

Scroll down for a quick  video tutorial from Spellbinders  showing how easy it is to create your own DIY pinecones.

I made two cards from the collection - one with snow and one without.  My husband prefers the snow covered card and I prefer the one without snow.
