Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Membership for January 2021 sets the bar for the new year ; a year full of love and hearts and everything wonderful.  Happy 2021. 

This die can be used to create slimline cards, which have been wildly popular in the last 18 months or so.  I have adored making them so this die is perfect to start the year. 

Here is a picture of the "Slimline Kaleidoscope" this month.  This is perfect for layering and creating cards with depth.   

The paper used on this card is from Maja Design and is a combination of some 12x12 sheets from a few collections:  Winter is Coming, Miles Apart, Monochrome -Shades of Winter

The cluster has a gold "decorative border"created using Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Cross Etched Dies from Expressions of Faith.

Elegant Christmas Foil Card - Spellbinders

Delicate Glimmer Hot Foiled Card for Christmas - Spellbinders 

As I finish up the last Christmas cards and prepare them for mailing,  I want to share one before I pop it in an envelope for a friend.   

Created using a new exquisite collection by Spellbinders and Becca Feeken - Delicate Impressions.  Introducing Spellbinders Filigree Crescent Band Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Delicate Impressions Collection by Becca Feeken.  

Mix and Match Sentiments included in the set are as follows:

Yep - gasp worthy Glimmer Hot Foiling designed by Becca Feeken, the Queen of graceful and elegant embellishing. This set can be used through the year but I choose Christmas (mainly because I'm just not done with sending out cards).  

And after Christmas, I will use this Delicate Impressions Filigree Crescent Band to create all my thank-you notes.  Perfect!

Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System

Create cards that have the look of store bought perfection.  Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System enables you to add foiling to your projects and cards.  Combine the Glimmer Hot Foil System and a roll of Hot Foil and you are on your way to a whole new level of creativity.  

The card today features  Matte Gold Hot Foil Roll .  I wanted the foil to be present but not shiny so I selected a matte finish.  

The flowers and greens were die cut from Spellbinders  Amazing Paper Grace (APG) Die of the Month  for November.  While the kit may be sold out, it's a reminder that monthly kits are a spectacular value and can be used with other projects.  

The poinsettias are topped with Buttons Galore Doo Dadz  in Merry Mimosa .  These shiny faceted  gems are one of the fabulous elements of the Doo Dadz shaker embellishment mix.

Christmas Cards Using Maja Design and Chipboard from Creative Emebllishments

 

 It's officially the Christmas Season!  

Today I have Christmas cards crafted with a combination of Maja Design's new Christmas collection, some fabulous festive chipboard from Creative Embellishments and decorated with die cuts from Spellbinders APG - Amazing Paper Grace monthly die club for November designed by Becca Feeken.      

I plan on sending more cards than usual this season because of the limitations in travel and gatherings allowed due to COVID.  These restrictions are making Christmas card lists rather long this year.

The Paper

Fans of Maja Design papers from Sweden anxiously await the release of the Christmas collection each year.  This season's collection, called Traditional Christmas,  features the sweetest elves and may be my personal Maja Design favorite. 

 Here is the promotional collage of the collection with elf images that will steal your heart.  

The Chipboard Embellishments

Creative Embellishments has a large selection of seasonal chipboard perfect for using on a variety of projects.  I tend to keep the treatments of the chipboard quite basic, using paint or heat embossing to alter /color them.  

 Here are the chipboard pieces I used on the cards today:  Merry Christmas Titles,  Mini Berry Wreaths, Sleigh Bells.

 

The card below features the "Merry Christmas Sentiment" from the Merry Christmas Titles chipboard set, but the chipboard has been painted with cream colored acrylic paint.

Spellbinders Evergreen and Poinsettia Dies (APG Die of the Month for November)

The card above and below have been decorated with dies from  Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Membership for November.  The set included a gorgeous poinsettia and evergreen die in addition to an ornate sled (which is not shown).  

This card features the Sleigh Bells chipboard set from Creative Embellishments.   The strap has been inked and the bells and buckle were embossed with gold embossing powder and heat set.

The "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from the Merry Christmas Titles chipboard set.  This set is wonderful because it comes with five sets of words in different festive fonts.    These have all been heat embossed with gold as well.
