Pie Shop - Spellbinders Small Die and APG of the Month 

Did you know Spellbinders offers exclusive monthly clubs for dies, stamps, card kits and much more? 

 They are fun to combine and coordinate so today I am combining two club selections into one card;  Spellbinders Small Die of the Month and  Spellbinders APG - Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month).

The thought process behind the pie shop 

The colored images for both die clubs are shown below. 
 The adorable lady with the pies is Spellbinders Small Die of the Month.  She's definitely the master baker and shop owner.  

 When I pulled  Spellbinders APG Die of the Month  out of the package, my mind wandered to a shop with a counter, stacked high with pies, cookies, baked goods.   The banner on the die makes the perfect counter for my lady baker.

Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Membership

The paper used on this card is from Stamperia CHRISTMAS VINTAGE 12x12 Paper.  It has wonderful holiday images and the layered cake and ginger bread cookies were fussy cut from this collection. 

I used a number of products to add finishing touches to the card.  Many of the pieces have been gently inked with distress inks in VINTAGE PHOTO, Fired Brick, and WALNUT STAIN . 
I also gently blended the edges of the card to match the Stamperia CHRISTMAS VINTAGE.  

After assembling the card, I dabbed some cool glitter paste  - UNICORN PASTE (glitter paste)-
here and there to resemble sugar crystals. 
 This is a fun and interesting product having the thickness of paste but with chunky mica-like glitter flakes.  Note - In my opinion this isn't the best to use on small stencils due to the chunky mica flakes.

Purple Pumpkin Patch - Spellbinders Large Die of the Month with Maja Design

Pumpkin Patch Card 

Hello.   Today I'm sharing a festive card that is perfect for autumn.  This card features the warm papers from "Enjoying Outdoors" paper collection from Maja Design embellished using  Spellbinders Large Die of the Month.

The beautiful purples, warm browns and soft greens in the collection made me think of outdoor festivals and pumpkin patches.  

 This card also was inspired by Maja design's Mood Board for October: 

The papers used from Maja's "Enjoying Outdoors" collection are: Colorful, The Great Nature, Feeling Good and What A Beautiful Day

I like the non-traditional autumn  purple pumpkins.  

The little pumpkins and green leaves are Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for October accented with brown distress inks and finished with raffia for that touch of nature.

Fun Llama Stamps and Die Sets -From Spellbinders/ Fun Stampers Journey

Somethin'bout a llama

There's just somethin 'bout a llama that brings a smile to my face.  Look at that little critter....it's smiling back at me.  

Today I'd like to share a card that will make you smile too.  It's the "No Prob-llama" card featuring some fun stamps and dies from Spellbinders /Fun Stampers Journey and papers from Maja Design's Enjoying Outdoors Collection.  

Below are the stamps I used for my card.  I actually used the coordinating stamp/die sets called Arizona Trail Stamp Set and No Prob-llama Stamp Set.  The big "D" on the images below indicates a matching die is available for the stamp set.

Here are the papers I used from Maja Design's Enjoying Outdoors collection:

Gardening (both A and B side)

Picking Flowers (both A and B side)

I wanted this card to have lush dimension and pop with texture - thus the layer of burlap in the background.  The Maja Design papers are perfect for adding subtle color.  

I have added some foam to make the cactus pop and then decorated the cactus with mini flowers and floral berries from a craft store.   

Quality Inks Make a Difference
When using detailed stamps, quality inks do matter.  I found the Cocoa Powder True Color Fusion Ink Pad from Fun Stampers Journey had rich pigment and great stamp coverage.  The inks didn't soak in but instead stayed dark and robust.

Dragonfly Cards using Creative Embellishments Chipboard

I'd like to share some light airy dragonfly cards crafted with Creative Embellishments amazing Flourish Dragonflies.  I paired the chippies with Maja Design papers that accentuate the outdoor butterfly/dragonfly theme.

Here is a look at the chipboard pieces I used.  I kept the treatments simple...painting the chipboard with gold paint

The fabulous paper I used is Maja Design - Enjoying Outdoors paper collection.  It's perfect for the delicate dragonfly chipboard.  

I kept the treatments simple by painting with Prima - Finnabair Metallique - Gold Rush paint and Prima - Finnabair - Opal Magic Rose Gold acrylic paints. 

I did add some sequins and a bit of thin wire for additional dimension and interest.  

The border chipboard was added to the card for texture.  I painted it white to blend in so the dragonfly was the main feature, not the checker border.
