Today I am sharing some of Creative Embellishments trendy chipboard designs with you.
I've noticed a few trends gaining popularity as the year progresses; Artist trading Coins and shakers.
Creative Embellishments is at the forefront as a trend setter with it's innovative chipboard ATC and shaker designs. The ATC (artist trading coins) are perfectly sized for traditional cards and awesome for shakers.
These are the chipboard pieces I used on the cards shown today.

It's very simple to turn your ATC's into shakers using Creative Embellishments - Coin Ring and Shaker Acrylic Pieces . These were made to coordinate with the ATC's as spacers to create shakers.
The chipboard pieces on this first card were lightly sponge dabbed with white acrylic paint. Next after the white acrylic dried, I used a dry paintbrush and lightly painted aqua and green accents on the sea horses and a bit on the starfish.
The paper is designed by a wonderful artist with a flowing watercolor style; Alexandra Renke - Seahorses.
OK so now you have turned your ATC's into shakers and you are ready to fill it. Don't sit at your crafty desk and look around for little bits. You have easy options!
Beads, Sequins,
Beads, Sequins,
I filled with sequins and crystals from Buttons Galore - Sparkletz. They have an assortment of colors and bits for the perfect filler.
TIP: Add your filler then use a good adhesive to seal the shaker with the pre-cut acrylic piece that comes in the kit. I used Beacons 3-in-1glue because it dries clear and works well with a variety of surfaces ( acrylics, plastics, wood, metal, fabric, canvas).
My second card is still designed in keeping with the seaside theme yet a little more conventional.
The chippies are painted with white acrylic and a dab of light blue.
The papers used on this card are from Stamperia's Sea Land 12x12 collection - a peaceful and soft collection perfect for seaside projects.

I did add a wisp of cheesecloth under the chipboard word and some glass beads.
Thanks for stopping here. Happy Crafting.

How awesome! I may need some of these shaker coins!
ReplyDeleteAmanda, they are sooooooo easy to use but GOOD luck choosing which ones you like because they are all gorgeous. Make sure you also purchase the spacer circles. The coins alone will not help create and the shaker. Creative Embellishments makes them sop very affordable.
DeleteThe paper is craft box not stamperia, its clearly very different. But why to go using your referral code for it as it is similar, ish... kinda.....
