This is the Archivist collection created by Frank Garcia.  It's richly colored  with romantic Parisian and floral graphics.  

I created a canvas mixing the Archivist collection with some mixed media gels, glass beads, mica flakes and  a metal from Finnabair's new releases.  

The Archivist Collection is rich and warm, charming and earthy.  I took my inspiration from the colors I love so very much.

Flying Unicorn Butterfly Card Using the January Kit

Flying Unicorns Kit of the Month

Another wonderful kit was revealed in January.  It had Riddersholm papers in it and was filled with wonderful amazing Prima flowers.  

I thought I would make a warm card and cut the butterflies from the Riddersholm papers. The colors in the papers are so beautiful together.

New Prima Julie Nutting Doll Stamp - Tommy

Prima and Julie Nutting's New Doll Tommy

Prima and Julie Nutting's newest boy stamp, "Tommy" reminded me of an old fashioned paper boy. That's the theme I played upon.  The watercolor pencils help make the dolls stamps quick and fun to create. 

This is the sweetest Doll stamp and I had a ton of fun using it.   I combined the Tommy Doll Stamp with the Julie Nutting "Fun Times" stamp set.    Tommy is a newsboy from 1910's era.  I rolled up some papers for his supply, then made some of the paper airplanes take flight with Prima Wire Thread.

Step 1.
  - Stamp Julie Nutting  -"Tommy" stamp on Prima A4 watercolor paper pad.  
  - Color with Prima watercolor pencils.  
  - Cut "Tommy" from paper.

 Step 2.
  - Cut three rectangles approx 2in long for paper rolls.
   - Tie paper rolls using Prima Jute.

 Step 3.
  - Rip a piece of paper from Bella Rouge Collection and glue to tag from the Julie Nutting tag pad. 
  - Ink the edges of the tag.

 Step 4.
  - Stamp several paper airplanes using Prima Julie Nutting - Fun Times stamp set.  
  - Glue Prima Wire Thread to the back of one airplane allowing the plane to fly off the tag.
  - Coil a small piece of Prima Wire Thread and glue to an airplane.
  - Glue remaining planes and paper rolls to the tag.

Prima Julie Nutting Ruby Doll Stamp

New Julie Nutting Dolls

Prima and Julie Nutting have really outdone themselves.    Julie has designed a collection of Doll Stamps through the decades.  

This is Ruby.  She's a 1920's flapper style doll.  I love her.  My doll is going out to the dance hall with her glitter pumps and headband.

I also used a new embellishment  to adorn the top.   Prima Memory Hardware - Antique Chains are draping over the top like a fancy chandelier.  

I tucked a clock into the tag for a little reminder that time passes way too fast.  

Prima and Julie Nutting have tapped into the vintage segment with Ruby and the other new release stamps.  I loved working with Ruby and giving her some dimension.
