Flying Unicorns Gorgeous Dec Kit of the Month

Did you know each kit of the month from the Flying Unicorns comes with a project?  We like to call it an "Off the Page" project since it is not a paper related project.  This month is a wooden sleigh. 

What a fun and perfect project for Christmas.   I chose the wonderful Maja Design collection called "A Gift for YOU"  to help create my holiday magic. 

My poinsettias  are created using a die form Memory Box Die - Poinsettia Style 861.

Prima Teams With CSI - Colors Stories Inspiration 

Prima Design Team members are Special Investigators at CSI for the month of December.  

This is Case file S365-10 if you would like to play along.  You can find it here.  

In order to play, you need to include two items from the evidence list into your projects and one from the testimony.  Plus use all 5 colors in some way.  

Escape Kitty is the star of this piece with her Santa hat and her poker face.  Can't tell if she has been naughty or nice - I'll have to go with nice.  

Her journaling tag says: 

Thankful for many things: naps, grass, warm fires and blankets

Her evidence choices included in the layout were using flowers and leaves and using something powdery  - with the embossing powder used on the cardboard for snow.

The Prima Julie Nutting wood dolls can be used so many ways - on tags, cards, as embellishments on gift wrapping, as necklaces, headbands, and the list goes on. I chose to use them as Christmas ornaments that can be personalized.

I bought the heart and star wood frames at a craft store.  I painted them with Prima chalkboard paint and decorated from there.

This is a plastic globe ornament.  I poured Prima Art Extravagance Glitter into to for snow, and then hung my wood doll from the top.
