 Spellbinders Large Die of the Month 

 My first project was created using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for March.

 It's too cute for words.  Perfect for pop-up, dimensional cards, flat cards, and shaker cards.  You can use the basket die all year round too.

Easter Bunny Shaker Card

Sweet Bunny Shaker Card 

Today I'm here with a Spring/Easter shaker card that is sweet as can be.  Since Spring and Easter are hopping into our lives, I thought I'd start my Easter cards to help chase away the cold, dull winter blues and welcome the sunny warmth.  

Today's shaker card features many amazing products.

Paper: Maja Design's beautiful "Little Street Cafe" collection.

Dies: Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for March.

Shaker Mix: Buttons Galore and More. 

The Maja Design, "Little Street Cafe" collection is the perfect  choice to help celebrate, with it's warm rose pinks and yellows.  

These papers I used from the collection even have delicious names:

 Something Sweet and Tea Please 

Next I want to showcase the Spellbinders dies used to create this basket full of bunnies.  This is Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for March - part of the monthly club kits designed exclusively for Spellbinders. 

Create a Simple Shaker 
The basket makes for a great shaker with a few simple adaptations because the design is  simple and had a large area to use as a shaker.  Plus the shaker feature gives the illusion that the basket is filled with extra goodies (and it is). 

Foam:  Run some adhesive foam through the die cutter to create the thickness needed to create the base of shaker. Here are a few inexpensive adhesive foam options ( see images below)

Acrylic: There are acrylic windows for crafting and cardmaking - simple to use and can easily be cut to size. I prefer the free method of saving and re-claiming acrylic from packaging - any product I use that has a clear acrylic window gets set aside and stored for later shaker use.

Once the basket is assembled, add the shaker mix.  I am using Buttons Galore /28 Lilac Lane - Embellishment Bottles - Pretty Pinks - filled with a variety of beautiful beads and sequins.

What a cheery and happy mix of pinks. 

  I love making shakers because I know they bring smiles to those who open the card.  Who wouldn't smile when seeing a shaker card made just for them?
