Happy Thanksgiving - Pumpkin Pie Festivities with Authentique Paper and Buttons Galore

  

Happy Thanksgiving   

 Today is a day for thanks and gratitude, for family and friends.  This has been a hard year for sure.  This Thanksgiving has it's challenges as well.  Know that my crafty friends are in my thoughts and I am grateful for you all.  Through the years I have been welcomed with such kindness and have made so many friends along the crafting journey.  Thank you and blessings to you all.  

This is a great opportunity to give thanks for the amazing companies in the craft/papercrafting industry which have given me that chance to showcase products.  Today's posts calls out Authentique, Spellbinders, Buttons Galore, Sassy & Crafty.   Amazing companies with steadfast commitment to quality, beauty and creative inspiration. 

The paper used on the cards today is from Authentique Paper - Splendor Collection - 12 x 12 Paper Pad .  This is a perfect collection for Thanksgiving with it's warm colors and festive patterns.  

The card below was embellished using Buttons Galore's Sparkling Sentiments - Autumn collection.  Sparkling Sentiments are a new product line for Buttons Galore.  They are perfectly sized embellishments made of wood and topped with festive glitter.

The Stamps

The stamps used on the cards today are deliciously adorable clear stamps from   Sassy & Crafty  - Pumpkin Spice Stamp Set

The stamps were colored using watercolored pencils from watercolor pencils from Faber-Castell.  I stamped the images using Spellbinders Dark Roast  Ink Pad and a stamping platform ( I like the Hero Arts - MISTI ).  I use the platform because I can keep stamping until my image is perfect.

Welcome to the product collaboration of Buttons Galore and Sassy and Crafty 

I had a ton of fun teaming the products together and celebrating the joys of the season. 

This is a two day event extravaganza.  And all great extravaganzas have prizes.  At least they all should.  In this case we definitely have a great prize lined up - a combo of Buttons Galore and Sassy and Crafty products to enjoy.

Autumn is here.  The season offers wonderful warmth - from the colors, to the smells, and the warm soothing drinks. 

When I saw Sassy & Crafty's adorably delicious  Pumpkin Spice Stamp Set, my comfort food brain jumped for sweet joy.  Pumpkin spice?  Yum - perfect for creating fun and cheery shaker cards to celebrate the warmth of Autumn and the fun side of Halloween.   

The background of the card was created using Sassy & Crafty's Marshmallow stencil with various distress inks layered with candy corn colors (a variety of orange and yellows) - another of autumn's yummy treats.

Here's a closer look at the delicious stamp set.  Donuts?  Pie?????  Latte?  oh my.  

The shaker and Buttons Galore's  Shaker Mix

The magic of the shaker card is all in the shaker mix.  It's true.  Buttons Galore's Doo Dadz mix is unique and will add the perfect amount of bedazzled magic to your project. 

This card features Buttons Galore  Marmalade Doo Dadz as well as a 3D pumpkin button from Buttons Galore's Autumn Bounty 3D Buttons collection.  The 3D buttons are perfect little toppers to finish off  any project.  

The chipboard circle shaker is Creative Embellishments - Atc Coin Ring And Shaker Pieces and are perfectly sized for cards measuring 2.5" diameter.

Coloring the Stamps

The stamps were colored using watercolored pencils from watercolor pencils from Faber-Castell.  I stamped the images using Spellbinders Black Licorice  Ink Pad and a stamping platform ( I like the Hero Arts - MISTI ).  I use the platform because I can keep stamping until my image is perfect.  

The stamped sentiment inside the shaker says, " I never met a PUMPKIN I didn't like...Pie....Latte....donuts.   This sentiment is part of the Sassy & Crafty Pumpkin Spice Stamp Set.  

Project Collaboration #2

Here is the next card created using  Sassy & Crafty's adorably delicious  Pumpkin Spice Stamp Set.  Totally adorable, right?   No spooky can be made from such sweet delights.  

Instead of spooky, I made a colorful happy card celebrating Halloween.  I'm not much for scary but I sure love the sweet side of Halloween.  As in the first card, the stamps were "conjured up and brought to life" using Faber-Castell - Aqua Watercolor Pencils, watercolor paper and a stamping platform for perfectly stamped images.  I'm no pro using watercolor pencils but I sure do love them.      

This card is embellished with Buttons Galore's - Trick Or Treat Doo Dadz Mix as the shaker mix and as card accents.  I also finished the shaker with a green apple 3D button from Buttons Galore's The Witching Hour set.   

 

The paper used on this card is

 Doodlebug Design's  - Halloween - Candy Carnival Collection  (6 x 6 pad )  It's darling.  It was perfect to pair with the stamp set.  

The shaker is Creative Embellishments Chipboard- Circle Shaker Set.  I kept the finishing on the chipboard super simple and inked it black before gluing the pieces together.  I didn't even bother with paint - ink was easy and quick.  No drying time involved ( the worst part of any project).
