Quick patriotic Themed Cards - Creative Embellishments and Maja Design

Hello crafty friends.  I'm here today with some all purpose cards for the summer.  I tend to like red, white and blue for the summer because there are so many patriotic holidays and events in the warmer weather.  

These two cards feature stamp themed chipboard from Creative Embellishments.

The treatment on the chipboard is simple.  I added white acrylic paint to a dry sea sponge and dabbed the chipboard.  The sea sponge has an irregular surface with holes here and there much like Swiss cheese.  The irregular surface allows the paint to be dabbed softly without full coverage like a paint brush would.  

The paper on both cards is from Maja Design in Sweden.  It's a classic collection called "Life by the Sea".   While it's a nautical collection, the colors are especially great for patriotic projects as well.

My first card today features the Small Die of the Month.

The beautiful layering dies in the set this month offer a variety of options.   

I've added a pearl string to the card and some pink sequins as finishing touches on this card.  I also have some decorative die cut curved borders from a retired Spellbinders die from the Card Creator collection, A2 Curved Borders One(S5-180) - only a few left so hurry.

Spellbinders has a die set that looks like it should be on a wedding cake topper with it's classic elegance and beauty. 

It's Spellbinders Wedding Dress & Tux Dies  - Wedding Season by Nichol Spohr. 

This is the sweetest, most elegant wedding die set I have ever seen.  

Use the dies alone or together...create your own gown and customize the tux.  It's all up to you.  

I created the strapless flared mermaid with tulle overlay (or something like that).  

All this fancy talk means is that the die helps make designing a wedding dress so easy.  I just added a finishing layer of tulle.  

The beautiful oval frame is also from Spellbinders and is part of the new collection designed by Becca Feeken,  Elegant Twist Ovals  Dies from the Elegant Twist Collection.

The Elegant Twist Oval frame has a layer of black cardstock underneath to make it pop and have more drama.
