Nautical Pop-up Card Featuring Authentique Papers with Printable Template

Hello crafty friends.  I'm here to share the wonderful surprises of summer with a pop-up card.  

This is a cool card that transforms from flat to a spectacular pop-up dimensional card featuring Authentique's Voyage and Spectrum Collections.  Perfect for mailing. Scroll down to the bottom of the post and you will find a printable template to create your own pop-up card.  

The chipboard tag shown below is from Creative Embellishments ATC Tags Mini Album 
 and slips out from under the hemp cord to reveal a personal note in the back. 

The beautiful tag sentiment was cut from Authentique's Voyage Life Cards .  

The little 3D sailboat button is Buttons Galore's adorable Come Sail Away Theme Button and is a perfect finishing accent placed over the hemp cord. 

This is a view of the card from the envelope.  It's a simple square, flat, seemingly unassuming card.    Give a little squeeze and it pops into a dimensional square.  

Here's a look at the papers used on this card.  It's a combination of the Voyage collection and a sheet from  the Spectrum paper pack.

Here is the over head view of the card.  Each flap of the card has a unique decorative sticker from Voyage paper collection sticker set.

The sailboat was cut from the Voyage paper collections Life Cards and rests on top of a chipboard piece from Creative Embellishments - Star ATC (Artist Trading Coin) Set. 

The chipboard pieces have been embossed with Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel - a personal favorite when it comes to heat embossing.  This embossing powder creates a nice vintage looking piece with a bit of gold flecks.

This flap also uses a sticker tag from the Authentique's Voyage Sticker set and is also accented with a 3D button from Buttons Galore's Come Sail Away Buttons set.

Quick patriotic Themed Cards - Creative Embellishments and Maja Design

Hello crafty friends.  I'm here today with some all purpose cards for the summer.  I tend to like red, white and blue for the summer because there are so many patriotic holidays and events in the warmer weather.  

These two cards feature stamp themed chipboard from Creative Embellishments.

The treatment on the chipboard is simple.  I added white acrylic paint to a dry sea sponge and dabbed the chipboard.  The sea sponge has an irregular surface with holes here and there much like Swiss cheese.  The irregular surface allows the paint to be dabbed softly without full coverage like a paint brush would.  

The paper on both cards is from Maja Design in Sweden.  It's a classic collection called "Life by the Sea".   While it's a nautical collection, the colors are especially great for patriotic projects as well.

Summer Sailor Boy - Vintage Card with Spellbinders and Authentique

June is here - with hints of summer.  I live in NY so we are still just hinting at warm weather. But summer means trips to the waterside, beach and visions of nautical scenes.   

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month  for June is a versatile frame die that can be used in for so many occasions and in so many ways.  

My nautical scene was created using paper from Authentique's Voyage Collection, with it's vintage charm that is part of Authentique's signature look and appeal.  

And of course, the sweet little sailor boy is framed using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month , available exclusively  from Spellbinders.  

I embellished with some stickers from the Authentique Voyage Collection Cardstock Stickers and a touch of cheese cloth for a wispy look.
