Happy Halloween.
Today I'm sharing some Halloween decor a la Creative Embellishments. The new collection of wood decor designs enables you to create gifts and decor pieces for any occasion.
I chose the whimsical Witch Legs to decorate. These are generously sized measuring 7.7"w x 11.8"h each so they are wonderful for hanging on walls and doors.
I painted the wood pieces with black acrylic paint before decorating. After the paint was dry, I cut pieces of paper from Simple Stories - Boo Crew Collection ; bold and bright, cheery and fun. If you look at the individual sections on the legs, I was not concerned with perfectly cut pieces. I wanted some of the black painted wood to show.
After the pieces were glued in place, I coated the entire leg and shoe with Deco Art crackle glaze and let dry completely - for those fabulous crackles to appear. Gotta say, waiting for crackles to appear is like watching grass grow. I was going to check the progress every 15 min. Oh oh oh there's a crackle.
Next after the crackles were dry, I assembled the Creative Embellishments chipboard bat shaker and filled it with Buttons Galore's Trick Or Treat shaker mix .
Fun finishing touches were added to complete the whimsical witch legs.
I topped with Buttons Galore Halloween Mix of Orange and Black Buttons, Cob Web lace bows and Buttons Galore 3D Bat Buttons . The shaker mix can be used for accents as I did with the little stars on the boots.
