LemonCraft's Just Love Me Collection

Hello. I would like to share some projects using a beautiful collection for summer called, 'Just Love Me from Lemoncraft.  Lemoncraft creates gorgeous papers form Poland.   This collection is soft and delicate and perfect for feminine cards and layouts.

My first project is a layout of my kitty.  This is a soft and feminine girly layout - but please do not tell my kitty - he is a boy cat and may not like being in a girly layout with all the flowers and pink.   I also added some watercolor paints to accent the beautiful colors on the papers.

The main sheet of paper used here is LemonCraft 'Just Love Me' collection 12x12 - Just Love Me  02.  The  photo is matted using a sheet of paper from the 6x6  'Just Love Me' paper pad.

If you scroll down, you can find out how you can own this piece ( available in my ETSY shop) and customized with YOUR photo..

How I Created the Background?
I really wanted the gorgeous vibrant colors to flow from one side of the page to the  other.  In order to achieve this look, I accented the Lemoncraft papers with some Prima watercolor Confections - the Tropical set.  These are small little watercolors that come in a metal pan - small in size and yet robust in pigmentation.   I love them.

In order to add watercolor paints to the paper, I did need to prep the Lemoncraft papers first with clear gesso, so that the papers would not absorb the water and warp.  To do this, I simply painted the clear gesso on the entire 12x12 sheet before I started embellishing and finishing it.    I also made sure the clear gesso was perfectly dry before starting to add the watercolors.

Guess What?  You can own this layout with all it's fun fabulous florals and YOUR photo.
yep true.  I'll customize this layout and add your photo to it to make sure it is perfectly blended with the layout and looks professional - perfect.

All you need to do is send me your  HIGH QUALITY photo and I can edit it to fit.
This layout is available in my ETSY shop while it lasts.

This is the card made using the  'Just Love Me'   collection in the 6x6 paper size.  The chipboard frame is from Lemoncraft also.  Isn't it lovely?

Spellbinders Maker's Mart Die of the Month - DIY Video Surprise

Spellbinders  - Makers Mart Die of the Month Club
Did you know Spellbinder's has a cool new monthly die kit club?  The die kit is new and fresh each month - I just happen to be showing the kit from July 2016.  It's available at Maker's Mart - from Spellbinders ( while it's available that is). If you sign up to be a member of the kit club, you never need to miss a die set again. In fact, the new kit for Sept is maybe my favorite.    (You can see the post at Spellbinders right here.  )

I'm the Star Shopper for Spellbinders and Maker's Mart, which means I get to have a whole lot of fun with these cool kits.  My problem is that I get making, and making, and the ideas keep coming...oh what a problem to have, right? Scroll on down and you can see my video.

The above photo shows all the cool pieces that come with the Poppy Die Set.
I'd like to showcase a few of my ideas including a very short video showing some of my ideas in action.

You can see the  DIY video   right here.  I also have a cute little
surprise ladybug that I'll show you how to create using the pieces from the die set -  shown further down the page.

This flower is layered and inked for a little vintage appeal.  Overall the card is simple to let the flower shine as the focal feature.  I added some metal embellishments on the side ( I cut one in half and tucked it under the petals so no one would know it was only half an embellie.  shhhhhhh- our little crafty secret way to extend our supplies.

The vintage looking button topper was perfect.

While the die set is for creating a flower, you can let your mind roam and venture out to other things.  I'll show you how I made this darling little Lady bug in my video.  I also show you how to assemble the flower in the video as well.

The sentiment is a stamp from JustRite Papercrafts.

Here are some other cards I made using the Poppy Die Set from Marker's Mart for  the month of July.

The flower die on this card takes on my version of a pansy.  This card uses Maja Design papers from the "Enjoying Outdoors" collection. The purple centers were made using purple glitter glue and a  decorative gem brad.

I also added one additional border touch at the bottom using Spellbinders Borderabilities Card Creator  - A2 Curved borders  Die.

Here is another bright and cheery card  with a paper doily background.

For this card, I added a small piece of lace flower to the center for a gilded delicate look.

This last card sample below is an idea I shared in my short DIY video . I placed the dies on my patterned paper and ran them through my die cutting machine.  Then I added lace to the back of the "negative" space created by the die.  After that, I decorated as normal.

The paper used on this card is from Maja Design "Summertime" collection

Thanks for stopping here for a look.  I appreciate that.

It's
available at Maker's Mart - from Spellbinders.  Don't miss out!  This die set is here today and gone tomorrow.
You can check out all the dies and supplies at Spellbinders right here.

Pink Anniversary Card - Flying Unicorns

Flying Unicorns - More Pretty in Pink Cards using Prima Rossibelle Collection -  September Kit of the Month

The September kit for the Flying Unicorns featured Prima's beautiful collection called Rossibelle.  I used the 6x6 papers from the collection to create this card.

This lovely card is for my parents upcoming anniversary.

My pretty frame on this card was created using the Spellbinders  A2 Valiant Honor Shapabilities die.  The die set also comes with The label die I used for the sentiment.
This is a simple card - not much going on, but  I'm liking the clean feel of this card.  The delicate design on the 3x4 card from the Rossibelle collection is the focal point.  I don't think the card needed additional flowers.

Did you miss out this month?
If you missed out on the Flying Unicorn kit for Sept., you may want to think about taking advantage of the pre-order option available on the 20th of every month.   The beauty of this option is that you get to preview all the goodies in the kit and decide if it is something you will like...and of course it will be!  You can find all the details here and never miss a kit that you want.

Julie Nutting Witch Shaker Card for Halloween - JustRite and PhotoPlay

Shaking Hallowen up this year -  with Julie Nutting
Today I want to share my sweet shaker card created using a few new seasonal products.  The card features Prima and Julie Nutting's new doll die/stamp combo, Photoplay Paper's Bootiful collection and a frame die from JustRite Papercrafts.

The new Prima/ Julie Nutting doll and die combo it the best!!!  No fussy cutting and no sore hands.  You just run the die through your cutting machine and the hard work is done.  I love it!  Plus the die has embellishments too- that you can cut.

If you have not grabbed the PhotoPlay Bootiful paper yet, you are gonna cry big 'ol crocodile tears if you miss it.  This is festive, fun and bright and once it's gone, it's gone.

Shaker Card Tutorial
If you have never done a shaker card, I have a tutorial right here that will help.   You can also find other shaker card tutorials on my Tips/tutorials and videos page found here.

I used the JustRite die below,JustRite PaperCraft Dies - Hello Decorative Oval Frame Die to create the lime green accent frame.
