We're getting closer to Halloween. Yippee! I'm taking this opportunity to share some spooktacular Halloween shaker cards using Creative Embellishments fabulous chipboard shaker sets.
Here are the two chipboard shaker sets featured today: Creative Embellishments Candy Corn Chipboard Shaker set and Creative Embellishments Snow Globe Chipboard Shaker Set
The first card highlights how CE's Snow Globe Chipboard Shaker Set isn't just for traditional snow scenes. It can be used for a variety of occasions. In my opinion, the name "snow globe" is just not fitting but the name is the name. Hehe.
I painted the snow globe shaker chipboard with orange acrylic paint, then added Crackle Accents - Crackle Medium and let the crackle medium totally air dry. After it was dry, I rubbed the crackled finish with black ink. This allowed the black ink to settle nicely into the cracks for more drama.
The shaker has been filled with fun and fabulous shaker mix from Buttons Galore Shaker Mix - Trick Or Treat. I also topped with a few Black Buttons from Buttons Galore along with ribbon and floral berries.
Both cards today are using paper from Authentique's Halloween collection, Masquerade.
Here is the second card, which features CE's Candy Corn Chipboard Shaker set , painted with black acrylic paint and filled with Halloween Sprinkletz Shaker mix from Buttons Galore.
The candy corn shaker was backed using Authentique's Masquerade Halloween polka dot paper inked for the colors of delicious candy corn. The "Happy Halloween " sentiment is from Authentique Paper - Masquerade Collection - ephemera cards.
The candy corn embellishments are Buttons Galore's 3D Candy Corn Buttons. The shaker mix is Buttons Galore Sprinkletz - Hocus Pocus - Very festive and boldly colored.
