Mother's Day Card -Dies, Flowers and Lace

I'd like to share a card I made for my mother to celebrate Mother's Day.  

I used the gorgeous soft collection from Maja Design, called Sofiero.  

The beautiful rose florals in this collection remind me of the rose garden my mother had in our front yard.

The embellishing die is from Spellbinders'  Elegant 3D Vignettes collection by Becca Feeken  called Spellbinders Tiara Rondelle .   The die was backed by a piece of floral lace to add an extra touch of femininity. 

My embellishments are a combination of flowers from Prima and a flair button from Creative Embellishments.   

The Flair button is very pretty and versatile. It's part of the Feb 14th Flair collection at Creative Embellishments.

Maja Design Sofiero Collection -Sunset

Here is another piece I created using the limited edition Sofiero Collection by Maja Design.  

Soft and beautiful, I chose the browns and blues in this collection to work in a beach type theme.  We love the beach. I love these papers.  Why not combine both "loves".  So that is what I did. 

This is a photo of my husband and me at the beach last year for  a perfect sunset. I cannot think of any collection more fitting for me to capture my beach memories.  The shells were also collected at this beach which makes the piece that much more memorable.

I created some seaside texture using Shimmerz Texturez and some lace.

Maja Design - Introduces it's Limited Collection - Sofiero

Maja Design introduces it's first Limited Edition Collection - Sofiero.

Sofiero Palace was, until the 1970s, a summer residence for Swedish royalty. The magnificent heritage of thousands of rhododendrons, beds, borders and kitchen gardens is carefully tended by a team of dedicated experts. In 2010, Sofiero was voted Europe’s Best Park.

Smell the roses while you walk through The Rose Paths of Sofiero. You can see the fairy tale castle glimpse in the background while you stroll around the castle’s world famous gardens. Walk through Princess Margareta’s Flowerstreet and be amazed by her sense of colors and gardening. Head on to The Dahlia District before crossing the garden down to the gates by the sea. Listen to the waves and enjoy the sun. A wedding couple passes by giggling. The summer is here to stay.

This new collection is a summer celebration to the historical gardens of Sofiero that is cared for and developed in honor of its legacy.
