Today I am thrilled to be a special guest blogger for Whimsy Stamps as we celebrate the start to the Halloween season.   I created shakers cards using some of the sweet and some of the spooky designs.  

Whimsy Stamps is more than stamps.  They have an amazing selection of unique dies with a variety of themes including build-a-scene die sets that really caught my eye.

Sweet Shaker Card

Here is my first shaker card - sweet before scary - stamped onto watercolor paper and painted with watercolor pencils. 

This card features a few products:

Here are my easy DIY instructions:  

I'd also like to take a moment to mention the embellishments added to the card. The shaker mix is Monster Mash Sprinkletz (NK150) shaker mix from Buttons Galore. Totally adorable and perfect for this crazy shaker.  

I also added a 3D button Bat and spider also from Buttons Galore and More.  These are from the Happy Hauntings 3D button pack HH104. They make perfect finishing touches.

Next up - spooky.  

This card features the  Whimsy Stamps - Build -a-Graveyard Die Set - designed by Deb Davis (Amped2Stamp).  Well actually this is a combo of the sweet and the spooky because I used the sentiments from Spooky Kitties Clear Stamp by Dustin Pike as the stamped sentiments  for the grave stones.   

This is the wonderful way to mix and match products.  I like to keep thinking of ways to combine products to get the most "bang for my buck" as the saying goes.

The cool shaker mix used here is also from Buttons Galore.  It's from their new product line called Jewelz.  I mixed a few different Jewelz  colors together;  Amethyst Jewelz (JZ117)  and the black are Jet Jewelz (JZ129)  

If you are lime me, I needed all the Halloween colors so I bought the combo kit from Buttons Galore.  This is Halloween Jewelz Mix - JZHalloween.

Cards Using Numbers for Special Occasions - Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

Customized Special Occasion Cards (Combining Prior Kits) - Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

 Let's get the party started with Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

 for Feb 2021. This set will help personalize special celebrations all year long from "save the date" events, to anniversaries, milestone birthdays, graduations and much more.  DIY custom birthday cards and special occasion cards just got easier. 

I expanded my imagination a bit because I seem to have a battle of the wits going on at my house.  I have three identical cats who prowl about as one, always together.  

I love my three darlin's and have enjoyed featuring them on cards so this was a fun  alternative use for Spellbinders Large Numbers dies.

In addition to Spellbinders Large Die of the Month, Spellbinders offers a variety of monthly kit subscriptions like the Card Kit of the Month. The purpose of the kits are to provide new product conveniently to your door.  I bet most of us have fun with the product for the month them add the products to our stash and move on.  

I'm here to encourage you to combine the kits, pull them out often and think of fun ways to keep using them.  The kitties seen in this card are stamps from Spellbinders Card Club Kit for January 2021 ( last month). Click on the images to see more details.  

The Sentiment: 

The sentiment on this card, "Dynamic, Witty, Charming" was added using Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System with the Gemini Hot foil plate from Spellbinders new Celestial Zodiacs Collection.  My cards today use Spellbinders  Gold Foil .  

Lately I've had a lot of crafty fun using Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System.  The foil adds a beautiful touch of elegance and refinement to my projects and cards.  It's easy to use and Spellbinders has a wonderful assortment of foils to accent your cards.

These are my Sweet "Grays", Eddie Gray, Macy Gray and Frannie (Francesca) Gray.  They are entertaining and charming - most certainly dynamic and a trio to be reckoned with. I'm still debating the "witty" part to be honest - but they do outwit me at times (often).  

Additional Information

The Kitty stamps were stamped on to watercolor paper  with Fun Stampers Journey  - Black Licorice True Color Fusion Ink Pad  and colored using Spellbinders / Fun Stampers Journey Color Splash Watercolor Pencils. 

  

My paper choice today is Maja Design's Denim & Girls collection.

Cat's Rule - Spellbinders Card Kit - Extras Only

Cat's Rule - Spellbinders Card Kit Extras Only  May 2020

There's quite a lot to celebrate with Spellbinders Card Kit for May 2020 - and my cats know it!  In fact, I believe the cats are having fun with the card kit from May as well as the Spellbinders "Extras" available in the Spellbinders store this month.  

I have three identical gray kitties who are always entertaining and looking for adventure. The Extras this month make me laugh and think of "The Grays" as I call them.     

A little bit about the monthly "Extras" Spellbinders offers for sale in their on-line store. 

  The "Extras" are embellishments and elements from the kit that can be purchased individually from Spellbinders. Here's a link to this month's Extras from the Spellbinders Store.  Each month the selection of extras changes.  

This month you can grab the "All the Little Things" die cuts set, stamp set, and paper pad as the "Extras".  The stamp set stole my heart because it has two darling kitties.

I created two cards using the May Extras to create my Gray cat adventures.   This first card features a special guest - their pal,  the scooter drivin' pup.   

The cats were easy to make - using the stamp set.  I stamped the cat, cut out the shape, and simply shaded with gray ink.  Nothing fancy.  Super simple - no stamp coloring skills needed here.  

 

Here is the second card - joyful, whimsical, and full of Gray cat delight.  

The kit this month includes fun imagery that certainly warmed my heart with rainbows, tie die looking paper, and lots of butterflies too.   Here's a look at what's included in the May box.
