Happy Today - Scrap Around the World with 2Crafty

The folks at 2Crafty are guests this month at Scrap Around the World. I posted the inspiration board below.  A collection of robust and bold bright images. 

Quite lovely - but I am not a bold scrapper.  I'm here, doing my best and giving my boldest interpretation.  I really admire those folks that can do the "full-court press" with color but that's not me.  I'm a more timid spirit. 

The young lad in the photo is my nephew.  I took this photo a while back.  No doubt he doesn't want Aunt Jen pairing him with flowers but they are for me and not him.  

So the folks at 2Crafty as guests this month at Scrap Around the World like I mentioned.  I added a few pieces of 2Crafty chipboard onto my layout and painted them white.

The background on my layout is watercolors and mists.  The paper is watercolor paper and not cardstock.  Cardstock doesn't tend to hold up well with a lot of water.

Scrap Around The World - with the Flying Unicorns

Scrap Around the World - with the Flying Unicorns

The Unicorns are hosting the popular challenge site, Scrap Around the World this month.   The idea is to draw inspiration from something on the board below.    It's quite a broad challenge so anything goes.  

OK so this doesn't have the color palette , no lace, no bikes or even flowers!  You say to yourself, "Jennifer...what are you thinking?"

What I saw first was the sunflare in the photo before I saw the bike.   I used the script, music elenet and the rope/twine.    Tis the season for Santa, he is a worldly figure and so this is what  I deceided to use for my Scrap Around the World. 

 Can't think of anyone who gets around the world like Santa..all in one night?  Incredible.  Cheers to the big man!  

I used the cool new "Wicker Christmas Wreaths" from 2Crafty as well as the words " Twas the Night Before  Christmas".  I stained them and glittered them up with some Prima glitter.
