Lemoncraft - Christmas Pages with Non-TraditionalPaper

Start to the Christmas Season -  Day Two
Hello. I set out this season to create Christmas with some everyday collections to show how easy it is to turn something nontraditional into Christmas delight.  A little imagination and it's actually pretty easy since the focal point is usually imagery and not necessarily color choice.

This  layout uses the delicate and graceful Lemoncraft collection called 'Everyday Spring' along with a sheet from 'Neverending Summer'.    I showcased a Christmas layout recently using Lemoncraft's  gorgeous reprinted 'Heart Painted' collection.  You can see that piece on my blog here and you will find the original post on Lemoncraft's blog right here

This Christmas layout combines two collections -  the top layer that looks like wood is from 'Neverending Summer' and it goes so perfectly with the other papers from 'Everyday Spring' collection.   I kept the layout fun and cheery with layers embellished with chipboard pieces and paper punches.
I have to give a giant shoutout to the embellishments I used becuase they perfoirmed the monumental task of creating the imagery to tramsport you to a snowy frosty Chrismtas morning.

The first honor rollcall goes to the chipboard pieces from 2Crafty.  The circle page frame is : 2Crafty Chipboard - Whispy Christmas Page Frame 120080
and the darling holiday shapes are

The holiday shapes were painted with acrylic paints and then gussied up with wires, crystal gems  and the tree has some Stickles glitter glue for extra shimmer.  The gingerbread cookie has gems for buttons and eyes.   The candycane has some striped bakers twine wrapped around it.

The next important roll call goes to the Petaloo flowers I selected.  While very simple, they really make a giant soft statement.   These are Petaloo's - Mulberry - New Camelia In the Pink. I stuck in some white generic floral berries and twig pine punches to fill out the cluster.

This is available in my ETSY shop while it lasts.  I can customize and add your photo to this if you prefer.  Click here to see it.

Keep watching for the newest release to be available soon.  You will need to add it to your Christmas wish list along with Lemoncraft's other gorgeous collections.

I hope you are also having fun with all the beautiful LemonCraft collections.
Thank you for stopping by!

Lemoncraft Card - Neverending Summer

Lemoncraft Week - Card Number 2
It's Lemoncraft week and  I'm showcasing Lemoncraft products all week on my blog.
I'm here today to share another card I made for April's Lemoncraft blog.  You can see the original blog post right here.  You can also find so many more gorgeous Lemoncraft products on the Lemoncraft blog here.

This card was made using the 12x12 Basic paper pad from the 'House of Roses' collection. The Basic paper pads are versatile and packed with easy to use patterns.
The sheet I used had soft script on it.    I gussied it up by using an embossing folder with dots.  I dabbed ink pads on it  ( Distress ink in Picked raspberry and Walnut Stain) and misted with water to activate the Distress inks.  Then I ran through my Spellbinders Platinum die cutting/embossing machine.

OK hold it..what did I do?

Step 1.  I grabbed an embossing folder with dots on it.  This was from Darice - called Dots.

Step 2.  I blotted the Distress inks onto the dots on the folder.  I blotted the Picked Raspberry and the Walnut Stain Distress ink.

Step 3  I misted the folder lightly with water.  very lightly.

Step 4  Ran through the die cut machine.

See how pretty the distressed dots are on the card?

I embellished with a label from Lemoncraft's Vintage Labels 2 .  I added the butterfly, that was also cut from the same Vintage Label sheet.

The paper flowers are from Prima's Tales of You & Me collection.

As Beautiful as a Rose - Lemoncraft Neverending Summer Canvas

Lemoncraft - So Beautiful

I am in love with Lemoncraft's paper collections. They are soft, romantic and have that gorgeous touch of vintage grace.  I thought I'd share some projects and a step-by-step tutorial of a 8x10 canvas panel I made featuring Lemoncraft's Vintage Time ATC cards as well as a card ( found at the bottom of the post).

You can find the original on Lemoncraft's blog right here.

Here's how I made this:

Step 1. Take a sheet of Lemoncraft NeverEnding Summer paper. I used the sheet called, "Swimming in the Lake".  I wanted to use the beautiful floral edges on the paper so I cut the paper, inked the edges and placed the paper on the canvas so the edges were showing.

Step 2. I attached the paper to the canvas with a generous amount of Soft Matte Gel Medium and a foam brush.  I think the gel medium is better to use than glue  when working with canvas.  It seals the paper to protect it and also prevents the corners and edges of the paper from tearing and bending.

Step 3. I covered the top of the paper with Soft Matte Gel Medium as well.
Step 4.  Time to adhere the beautiful Vintage Time ATC cards.  I cut three images, and added cardboard to the middle image for some dimension.  I used Soft Matte Gel Medium for this step as well.
Step 5.  I added a punched border onto the canvas then I started to embellish with my flowers and all other embellishments.
Step 6.  I printed out a sentiment from my computer, cut the words out and inked all the edges.  I used Soft Matte Gel to attach them to the canvas.
Here are some close ups.

Now to show you a card I made using card I made using Lemoncraft's Tiny Miracles collection and Vintage Time 003 cards.  Isn't it sweet?

The Vintage Time ATC cars are simply gorgeous and I know you will enjoy creating beautiful projects with them.

 Thank you for stopping by!
