Merry Stitching - Floral Christmas Card with Spellbinders

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for November is very unique and has an added twist...offering fabulous options for creativity. This month the die is perfect for adding stitching to your projects.  

No need to be a stitch master because the holes are already cut for you, making the stitching a snap if you are inspired to sew.    

I paired the Large Die of the Month with Spellbinders Autumn Hydrangea Etched Dies from Susan's Autumn Flora by Susan Tierney-Cockburn.  I adore hydrangeas and have some beautiful bushes in my yard.  When I saw this die set, I was overjoyed.  

 

I used gold metallic jewelers thread on the snowflakes because I wanted a bit of shine to the card.  I started with embroidery thread, and it was lovely, but not the look I had in my mind. Know what I mean? yeah I know you do.  

 Next, that hydrangea die set designed by Susan Tierney-Cockburn...oh my goodness what fun that was to use.  I opted for the traditional autumn hydrangea look, but I am excited to play with some color combos in the floral arrangement.
