Cherub -All About Fans Week # 3 -Prima Packaging Challenge

This is my entry for the Prima All About Fans Week #3 Challenge on Prima's Facebook page
Week 3 was about using packaging.  So how did I use my product?  I used three different products from different years, 2009, 2011 and 2012.

The package from 2009 was the green package.  I punched some leaves and stems out of the package and used as ever green sprigs on my page.  I also used the green at the top of the corner to dangle my bells.

The package from 2011 was pretty obvious.  I inked it with Donna Salazar Mixd Media Inx in Mossy and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo, then tucked it as a layer.

Finally, the little black chevrons under my cherub were cut from the 2012 packaging.

My cherub image is an old postcard from Flickr photo share.   I used pieces of a paper oily with the edges inked for her angelic halo.

I used three different edge punches on this.  Lately, I'm on a kick to combine a whole lot of edge punches.

This design was based on the monthly sketch by Charlotte Jenkins, aka suepup.  Thanks for your continued inspirational sketches, Charlotte.

This is the wonderful Bo Bunny Serenade Collection and the Color Add On option that Melinda offers.
I grabbed the vintage Santa postcard from a cool Flickr site instead of a photo.

Santa Journal Page

This is a journal page I did using the Creativity Option that Melinda offers members.   This month was a wonderful journal which I grabbed and used for some fun.  Slopped some molding paste all over this page, paper, lace, gold Rub N Buff and a bunch of other goodies packed in the kit.

Thanks for looking at my art work.

FabScraps Christmas Collection - Visit From Santa

FabScraps Christmas Collection
Soft, gorgeous and was screaming out to me to have some vintage fun.  OK, that's just what I did.  I found a vintage postcard of Santa on the Internet and used that as the springboard for my creation.  The FabScraps papers played along like they were custom made for this type of work.

FabScraps has a Facebook page too.  Come join us.

The FabScraps chipboard piece is from the Burlesque collection.   I inked it with brown ink and then topped with gold glitter glue and some red acrylic dots.

The holly leaves were cut from FabScraps Christmas Collection paper - Santa's Helper.  I love striped paper.  Stripes are strong and versatile.  My cluster only needed a little to give it definition.

We all know Santa's the main act on this page.  (I am trying to be sweet to Santa because Christmas is a'commin!).

FabScraps products used:
FabScraps Burlesque Collection  diecut DC44 013
FabScraps Christmas Collection paper:

        Santa's Helper C51 008
Thanks for looking. Have  a FABulous day!

Escape Kitty- Napping Kitty Prima Nov BAP

Escape Kitty- Napping Kitty was created for the Prima BAP using elements from Scraps Of Elegance.
Such beautiful papers and embellishments assembled into one kit.  Make scrapping easy.

OK I have to admit - this is Escape Kitty, but I had to borrow it for my blog too.  Is that so wrong?  And I am NOT going to ask Escape Kitty to answer that question.  hahahaha I borrowed this for my blog too.  Once again, is that so wrong? ( Kitty borrows things from me all the time - like my credit card to fund her ridiculous adventures). So I guess this is my totally shameless attempt at getting even with her in some cosmic feline way.

So here she is, Escape Kitty settling in for a nap on the deck.  Supervised of course.  I have my little camera stuck in her face as she naps, poor thing.  Oh the pretty have such a rough life.

But this was created for the Prima Nov BAP (Build a page).  (update - Featured at Prima)

November Prima BAP (Build A Page)  created by Steph Devlin.  Scrumptious, Devlin Divinity, amazing...this is definitely a design that I will do again. Thanks Steph.  You have dazzled me.

OK I had fun with Prima masks and Dusty Attic as well. I used the Dusty Attic Grass Clusters #1 DA0660 to create layers on Kitty's spider plant.  I inked them and topped the dangling flower part with thick modeling paster and yellow acrylic paint in Sunshine (Adirondack paint).

Thanks for visiting to see sleepy head, Escape Kitty.
Please join us for some scrappy beautiful fun at Scraps Of Elegance

Shhhhhh.  Don't tell Kitty I borrowed her art work.   This gets back at Kitty for borrowing my credit card on her many adventures I guess.  and that's a whole other topic on Kitty's blog.
