Floral Butterfly Slimline Cards

Hi friends.  Today I'm here with splashes of cheery Spring color and beautiful butterflies.  Snow is melting, flowers are blooming, Easter is here bringing a sense of hope and joy. These are the reasons I decided to create some colorful spring cards combining Spellbinders dies and Creative Embellishments butterfly chipboard.

The cards today feature Creative Embellishments fabulous chipboard Flourish Butterflies .

The chipboard butterflies are painted with creamy white colored acrylic paint.  Super simple.  Once the paint is dry, I inked the edges with Distress inks for added definition and outlined the edges with Crystal Stickles glitter glue.  Yeah I still have a love affair with Stickles.

The beautiful border dies are from Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Membership for April.  They are smartly designed for the versatility of creating slimline cards which are so popular right now, or traditional sized cards.  These are also great for borders on layouts and other projects.

Here is my second happy card.   This butterfly flutters in a sea of pastel flowers.  The paper is from Little Birdie and the exquisite die cut borders are from Spellbinders.

These cards are great examples showing the chipboard doesn't need to have super fancy treatments.  The Flourish Butterflies designs are elegant and delicate all on their own.

Thank you for stopping here.  I wish you a Happy Easter full of joy and crafty love.

As always, the monthly dies included in Spellbinders Die of the Month clubs are exclusive to Spellbinders and cannot be found any where else.

Thanks so much for stopping here.  May your Easter season be filled with joy.

  1. Ooohh, you and me both! Even with the advent of things like Nuvo Glitter Drops, glitter mouses, and glitter embossing powders, I am still a die-hard lover of Stickles and plan to keep on using them for as long as they're around.
