Using Shakers for DIY Halloween Home Decor
Shakers are fun as cards but they can also be used to create fabulous home decor pieces as well. These are guaranteed to become conversation pieces on your table tops.
The shaker mixes and 3D buttons featured are from Buttons Galore and More.
The base of the pumpkin patch sign is a small standing chalkboard from a craft store - super easy to transform with some paint, paper and shaker material.
I painted the base of the chalkboard with inexpensive brown acrylic paint.
The shaker is simply old packaging I had saving in my scrap room. Yep- old packaging makes great shakers. I covered the edges of the package with adorable Halloween paper.
One of those sneaky crafting "cover-ups" to hide messy edges and make the shaker secure.
The shaker was filled with Buttons Galore - Creepy Sparkletz . This mix is quite fascinating - filled with spiders, jack-o-lanterns, beads, crystal gems, and more. Perfect shaker material for my pumpkin patch sign.
