Today I am thrilled to be a special guest blogger for Whimsy Stamps for their 31 Nights of Halloween Celebration on their blog.  You can find all the festive, spooktacular and seasonal fun on their blog, right here.

Today I am sharing a darling card, plus some seasonal harvest fun - complete with instructions.

I created a set of cards to be used for general autumn greetings.  I have some family and friends that would appreciate a warm and festive card this season without the spooky side.  That's ok because Whimsy Stamps has this covered!

I am featuring the following die set:

Here is the second card created today - on the adorable side.

This card was created with Whimsy Stamps: Kitty 'n Pumpkin Rubber Stamp.  I stamped the image into watercolor paper and colored with watercolor pencils.

Graveyard DIY Home Decor with Instructions - Whimsy Stamps

Today I am thrilled to be a special guest blogger for Whimsy Stamps for their 31 Nights of Halloween Celebration on their blog.  You can find all the spooktacular fun on their blog, right here.

What can be more spooky this time of year than a grave yard?!  I gathered some goodies from Whimsy Stamps and set to work on a 3D home decor graveyard.

  Scroll, down for DIY instructions.

Whimsy Stamps is more than stamps.  They have an amazing selection of unique dies which were used to help make this decor piece today.

The gravestones, cats, fencing and accessories were created using The Build-a-Graveyard die set designed by Deb Davis from Amped2Stamp.

The sentiments and creepy cobwebs on the gravestones were from the two stamp sets below:

Christmas Day Shadow Box - Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

Christmas Day Shadow Box - Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

This month, I used Spellbinders Large Die of the Month to create a scene from Christmas morning - complete with a warm fire blazing in the fireplace.  The fireplace is from Spellbinders of course.

Perfect for holiday cards and great for memory keeping scrapbook pages but I thought it would make a wonderful focal point to a dimensional holiday scene.

Here is an image of the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for the month of October.

Above is a close up of the completed fireplace with stocking decorations, candlesticks and greens for the wreath that come included in the set  ( I added my own florals).

The "crown molding" along the top of the house was created using the fireplace grate die.

The wooden frame comes from a big box craft store and was part of their thanksgiving home decor.  I purchased for the purpose of repurposing and using as a shadow box.

The "wall paper" today is Maja Design's Traditional Christmas  fort he wall paper and the 6x6 paper pad for the gift wrapping and stockings.

Let's talk about the Fireplace:
Of course the fireplace die is Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for October.

The fireplace is dimensional because I added a few layers of foam to create the desired dimension.
I wanted the inside of the fireplace to be brickwork so I used a chipboard castle from Creative Embellishment, cut and pieces it together, then white washed (watered down paint) with a sponge.

The chipboard pieces
Here are the chipboard pieces used on the scene.

Here is a nice image of the top of the house showing the "crown molding" die set from the featured die set,  the decorated chipboard house topper (Creative Embellishments Chipboard Filigree Corners), and the decorated wreath.
