Flying Unicorns Media Add on for Sept and Challenge

Hello friends!
We are THRILLED  to reveal the September  kit of the month and invite you to  join us once again at Flying Unicorn to share your creativity and inspiration using our September Kit.

I also run a doll challenge at the Flying Unicorns so please consider joining - I'd love to see you here !
Our main kit  is always wonderful and perfect on a stand-alone basis.  Why not add to the fun with the Mixed Art kit?

From the beginner to the avid mixed media artist our Mixed Art add on kit will surely please you. Our Mixed Art kit will always come with a canvas and this month we have included a circle canvas ready for you to get your mojo going. Oh and an extra special wooden paint palette has been included for you to use or alter with paints Flying Unicorn Adornments and mists galore.

So this is how I used the  Mixed Media kit  - by mixing it with elements from Our main kit .
My canvas says  "You make the word a happy place".
I thought I'd use Valentina, from Prima -Julie Nutting to help me illustrate my canvas.

One tool I adore and find to be necessary when using the Nutting Dolls is the Prima Stamp block.  I have several other stamp blocks - and I often "go it alone" with no stamp block, but I've gotta say when stamping the dolls, I get a far better stamp quality and have far more success at a better image on the first try.   Gotta say the handle on the stamp block makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE!

There are two sizes of stamp blocks...the smaller 4x8 is perfect for doll stamps while the larger  6x8  block is made to accommodate the Bloom Girls and other large stamps you have at home.
Here is the journaling I did for the canvas.    I used a Prima stencil that came with August's kit of the month (Prima Stencil - Decor 1 575915) after inking the lightly with Clearsnap Peaches Mixed Media Inx.

I attached them to my canvas using the Prima - Finnabair Art Basics Clear Matte Gel medium.  I just brush some to the canvas, add my paper piece and then brush gel medium over the top to seal it in place.

This is Valentine all decked out in Prima Something Blue   She is a lovely stamp.

This photo gives you a better image of the  cluster and the dimension of Valentina's dress.

Thanks so visiting.
