Door of Hope -Scraps Of Darkness, CSI Case File 38 and OUAS

This was created for CSI - Colors, Stories, Inspiration case file #38 and for Once Upon A Sketch.  These two challenge sites have joined up for the month of September.  In addition to the challenges, I created this using elements from the Scraps Of Darkness September kit, My Guy and some retired kits.

My evidence:
Newsprint paper - Kaisercraft Sears and Sons Collection
Woodgrain - Fabscraps Shabby Chic collection

My Testimony: using the word Daily as inspiration...
This door stays open daily.  It's the Door of Hope.  It can never be shut.  While the door may look cracked, broken, and full of despair, it is only the outside appearance.  Step through the door and the possibilities are endless.  Keep your door of hope open daily.

Here is the palette, evidence list and testimony list along with the special twist of the month: the sketch for the week designed by Nadia Cannizzo, from Once Upon A Sketch.  She always comes up with amazing and inspirational sketches.

Here is the close up of the cluster detail.

This is a photo I took of a crumbling building on a recent scrapping trip to North Carolina to meet up with some wonderful scrappy friends who also LOVE to snap photos.  We scrap a little, laugh a ton and then go about the countryside in search of interesting things to shoot.

Special thanks are in order for our hospitable countryside escort, Dick Harding.  He is Maggi Harding's husband who puts up with a handful of obsessed women for 5 days.  This year, he did a little scouting ahead of time for us.  Actually not a little.  He spent hours of his free time finding and then noting where some cool places of photographic interest were around North Carolina.  All that just to keep us happy.

Thanks Dick!  You're the best scrappy husband a gal can have and Maggi is lucky.

Thanks to Maggi also for hosting us with the best Southern hospitality and down home cooking. They both walked through the door of hope in having us invade their home with our traveling scrap bins.

Please consider joining us at Scraps of Darkness- for the Alternative Scrapper.
Thanks for looking and taking time out of your day.
